Islam with a suggested 1.9 billion adherents and Catholicism with 1.4 account for over a quarter of the global population yet both major religions remain well beyond being ever questioned on the clear male domination of women in almost all the spiritual teachings involved.
Only Hinduism of the Billion plus adherents, has made realistic efforts to deliver equality of the two genders.
Little designates the belief of Chattel status for women in Islam more than the inexplicable practice of polygamy?
Is there an explanation why once regular criminally charging some poor sucker long haul truckie with bigamy for having a comfort woman in multiples seems to have disappeared from the court lists and I assume some immigrant classes having multiple mothers in law being ignored by Judicial officials?

I realized that I know nothing about Islam and what Mohammad tried to figure out and tell us about our species relationship with God.
That is why I am reading the Quran and listening to some Muslims to try to understand instead of judge.
I think that the religious “authorities” corrupted the messages so that we would give them obedience and money in return for false promises of heaven or hell.
Heaven is this planet on which we could all live in peace and harmony with everything we could possibly need given to us with God’s unconditional love.
Hell is what selfish people have made this Garden of Eden into.
I cannot understand what God is because my idea of god is Infinite and Eternal Intelligence, Wisdom and Omnipotence.
None of us can understand Infinite, Eternal or Omnipotent. Look it up if you don’t believe me.
God did not make us in “his” image.
We like to believe that because we are afraid that anything could possibly be so superior to our frail species.
Something with infinite, and eternal Intelligence, Wisdom and Omnipotence does not care about what happens or does not happen in the Universe it created to function in complete harmony.
Nothing is a problem for God.
God just tries things out and leaves them alone to see what happens.
That entity or concept does not care about me or our species and what happens to it because God just gave us all we need to live in harmony and let us device what to do with it.
We fucked up really badly and maybe will become extinct because we tried to make God in our image of a nasty old white guy wearing a dress and sitting on a cloud.

If you believe in a god, you are doing this as an act of faith, since you cant prove he exist.
If you dont believe in a god, you are also doing this as an act of faith, since you cant prove he doesn’t exist.
Church goers aren’t perfect, and it’s unreasonable to expect them to be. They go there to better themselves, in much the same way that sick people go to a hospital.
‘Hell’ is derived from Gehenna, which was a rubbish dump outside of Jeruslam. They were always burning rubbish there, hence the eternal flames and worms, etc.

Mary, the Theotokos, is the Leader of Christ’s Church, so it is foolish to think of Christianity as sexist.
I’ve had several conversations with my teenage daughter about this. There is no theological silver bullet for why the Church is a literal Patriarchy, but at heart, the fact is that “women cannot be fathers”. And if they cannot be fathers, they cannot be Fathers either.
There is an unexamined premise here.
Why should there be male/female equality in church leadership or in any other part of human society?
You may say that you want it and it it would be good to have, but why and what purpose would it serve? and if it is to be equality here why not everywhere in everything?

As I tried to Mansplain to daughter-in-law : The term you use is “domination” , which is a lefty interpretation of a function. Well, D-i-L used the term “power” , which I will take as an equivalent here.
The scriptural version is “authority”, as in always “delegated authority” . There is an ultimate authority who defines himself in relation to us as “God” . He (self defined masculine) decides / defines what is right, what is wrong. Then somehow delegates a chain of authority onto His creation, because as thinking, sentient beings, we want to have definitions of things like right & wrong & good & evil & truth & lies & love . Things which exist but cannot be measured. So we need a source of definition outside of ourselves for these things, otherwise your definition is as valid as mine and no-one can logically say that one human definition is more right than another . The pond-scum to philosopher belief just results in arguments between different colours of pond scum. So when an important or urgent decision needs to be made, (or correction or aligning family values, or…pressing the Big Red Button ) this God decided that men in general make better , less emotional, decisions than women, and delegated a touch of His authority onto the men for these decisions. Then an authority over the animals, plants, and rest of the natural world. This authority of course has then been abused into “power” and “domination” , which people point to as a straw argument against the existence of a loving creator God outside of our measurable universe. Hat tip to C.S Lewis “Mere Christianity” and “the Bible”. Yes there is a skip or three in logical path there at my words “so” . Such questions have been well answered several times down the ages, and sometimes in much longer form than this. A basic is who we accept as telling truth.
