I Mean my OIA request re a breakdown of Submissions on the Treaty Principles Bill.

I now have the reply, bang on time on Friday 9 May as they said it would be but, it told me nothing that I and 99.99% of readers here did not already know. I apologise for putting the draft of this aside and not posting it on receipt – a senior moment because I compleely forgot about it.

THE WHOLE SELECT COMMITTEE PROCESS WAS A JACK UP!!!!!!!

Who initiated and controlled that jack up?

Well in my opinion it was run out of the National Caucus and right from the top I believe Prime Minister Luxon got the outcomes he wanted to KILL THE BILL.

Who aided and abetted him? Well obviously Justice Minister Paul Goldsmith had a key role and Tama Potaka would have been working on the fringes.

What about Select Committee Chair, James Meager you ask? I have no doubt he had to toe the Party Line but, there were times during Select Committee hearings that I thought he looked a bit embarrassed about the way things were trending and definitely about the bad behaviour of some of his Committee Members. So I give him the benefit of the doubt.

I don’t extend that doubt to everyone in the Justice Department though. I believe that like Prime Minister Luxon they got the result they wanted. Including hiding information such as the breakdowns I asked for.

Here is my original request.

Unfortunately I for some reason I could not copy the full reply but basically it repeats my questions one by one and then says the respective information was not broken down.

If anyone wants to have a look leave your email address in the comments and I will forward the whole emailed reply on to you. So that I am not overwhelmed (I tested positive for Covid this morning) I will bulk them into one email a day – starting tomorrow afternoon if fit enough
