Racist policies in Parliamentary precinct

High officials striking dagger through democracy’s heart.

Gary Judd KC

Now for the content which I have reproduced in full.

We acknowledge the celestial entities.
We acknowledge our guiding stars
The coursing of the stars is invoked
Inspiring the path we follow through our world
In this endeavour, heaven and earth come together
Let it be

That’s the karakia with which the Chief Executive of Parliamentary Services and the Clerk of the House end their statement of strategy 2022-2025. It outlines the programme for Te Ao Maori and tikanga within the work they and their officials do.

It begins with:
He Ao Takitaki
The stars that guide us
Te Rautaki Ao Māori 2022 – 2025
Te Ao Māori Strategy 2022 – 2025

It is signed by the Chief Executive, Parliamentary Services and the Clerk of the House of Representatives. It contains commitments such that it would be naïve to think any Minister or MP, or the Speaker of the House can receive advice unaffected by the ideology contained within it. I’ve given a link to the document. Have a look and see for yourself.

This year is the third year of the envisaged indoctrination and infiltration of the Parliamentary workforce.

By way of example, it includes (with bolding added by me (Gary Judd)):
Te ao Māori is described and enabled by mātauranga Māori (traditional Māori knowledge), tikanga Māori (customary practices), te reo Māori, and traditional concepts and principles, including mana, tapu, whakapapa, manaakitanga, kaitiakitanga.

Te ao Māori is acknowledged, affirmed and guaranteed by te Tiriti o Waitangi. We recognise this with our commitment to the principles of partnership, participation, and protection….

Like the celestial bodies that inspired its name, this strategy will guide our actions and interactions with respect to te ao Māori as we navigate our work.

Guiding principles include:

COMMITTMENT [Sic — sloppy proof-reading as well!]

We make a commitment and a promise to one another to ensure te ao Māori is part of who we are and what we do. We are committed to this mahi, acknowledging its importance to our people, mahi, Parliament, and Aotearoa.

TE TIRITI O WAITANGI

We are committed to the principles of partnership, protection, and participation which are incorporated into this strategy.
The section on employment goals, commencing page 18 is plainly racist. For example, but read it all,
· Our recruitment practices, position descriptions, and people’s expectations reflect our commitment to te ao Māori
· We offer Māori candidates the opportunity to include whānau during the recruitment process

Regarding tikanga, on page 20, the commitment is that “Our recruitment practices acknowledge tikanga Māori,” “Our everyday actions and interactions are more informed by tikanga and storytelling.”

Like a revivalist religious movement, it ends with the karakia I started with and now repeat.
We acknowledge the celestial entities.
We acknowledge our guiding stars
The coursing of the stars is invoked
Inspiring the path we follow through our world
In this endeavour, heaven and earth come together
Let it be

There we have it. Embedded within the heart of our democracy is a force which, ultimately, is destructive of it. Nobody voted for this. I was not aware of it until this morning, and I imagine very few people were.

You will see that part of the mission of Parliamentary Services and the Clerk of the House, and of those under them is to engage with other public sector agencies who will look to them as a partner and a leader in Te Ao Maori. This mission started in 2022. Undoubtedly it will now be well advanced and will be part of the explanation for the actions of outfits like the Real Estate Agents Authority, other quangos and government departments.

It is subversive of the whole democratic process, because Te Ao Māori is not democratic. It is tribal where chiefs call the shots. Willie Jackson’s new sort of democracy has been insinuated into the Parliamentary process.

Conclusion:

This is the first time I have seen anything like this.

I do not know Gary Judd KC and have no idea how he obtained my email address although I suspect perhaps from the Tax Payers or Free Speech Unions or maybe Hobsons Pledge or maybe even from someone else as I do not go out of my way to hide my email addresses, of which I have two.

Back to the thrust of Gary Judd KC’s email. If he is correct and I have no reason to doubt him then there is something deeply entrenched in the inner workings of Parliament that is committed to installing Maorification and Racism right throughout all areas of the workings of Parliament. Based on the date of the Strategy Statement it is probably 3 years down the track so we are well behind the 8 ball here.

As Gary Judd says – NOBODY VOTED FOR THIS.

I assume the Chief Executive of Parliamentary Services and the Clerk of the House Strategy statement of 2022-2025 is available on the Parliamentary Website. I think the first part of the following link to the Parliamentary website might cover the thrust of it but, the second part seems to drift off to cover Matariki. Even if it is not the link to where the above information came from I think you will find this is enlightening and scary stuff which needs more exposure.
