Any need for debate has long passed.

The racist Maori Party survival is the only need for the race based seats recommended by the designers of the MMP system for election of government to be no longer needed to redress any remaining actual necessity that led to their introduction 158 years ago with the passing of the Maori representation act.

In 1867 there were many full blood Maori in NZ and they were almost all proscribed from standing or voting because only land owning citizens were entitled to participate.

Today there is not a single full blooded Maori remaining and anyone with even zero Maori genetics may “Identify” as Maori.
In truth there are 37% OF MPs in the current 54th Parliament and it is suggested there are only 17% of the voting citizens with Maori ancestry.

Therefore the Clown Show who have zero respect for the rules and traditions of New Zealand laws as regards protocol in the NZ parliament are not in any way worthy of the entitled place they use to carry on with their flouting of such laws and traditions. As if the disrupting of a “Vote” with their clearly intimidatory swivelling of eyes, dancing across the floor and directly threatening with weapon memes the MPs they set about blaming for the introduction of the Bill was not sufficiently egregious the subsequent dismissal and contempt for the ensuing consideration by the Privileges Committee warranted a much greater demonstration of how most would regard the ir behaviour.
For a bunch of MPs intent upon returning to the traditional actions of their ancestors in a stone age demonstration of arrogant behaviour and claiming they are being unfairly targeted by colonialism merely demonstrate just how unfit they are to sit in the Peoples House of Elected Representatives.

Without the pure apartheid racist cloak delivered by an anomaly from 1867 now so far past its use by date is an indictment on every MP current and past for not obliterating the overt racist melody of malarky that sustains their privilege they so easily trample upon with every opportunity.
Cripes, after the Coalition bent over backwards to allow the Leadership to be able to participate in the Budget business by delaying the imposition of whatever sanction the house may agree on until June 5th the lazy bastards did not even turn up for that presentation, possibly the most important bit of parliamentary activity of the whole year

Dress codes, respect and acceptance of the supremacy of the Speaker, observance of standing orders, and civility must be restored to end the descent into anarchy of a few of the few. It is not enough to suggest anything less. By all means take their traditional shenanigans to a Marae and see how long such demonstrations of ill begotten behaviours survive. Just try stumbling into a meeting house wearing shoes and insulting garb will soon see a remonstration far more disagreeable from the elders I am certain.
