A Media obsessed with a running total of people killed on roads remains quaintly quiet on running similar commentary on Infant deaths accompanied by a researched take on ethnicity and tribal affiliation where applicable?

It is not that there are any victims of infanticide where there is No Maori involvement however the published dramatic numbers do indicate a level of step father involvement alleged and all to often relativity for a people claiming special treatment and hints involving Treaty of Waitangi breaches.

There is an extremely crude bit of phraseology all too often implied in these tragedies where victims are referred to as a SOCK in a truly terrible descent into savagery, yet the elders seem silent, is that because , as awful as that demonstrates, such killings are within the cultural mores of those Kaumatua and Kuia.
