I’m perplexed by the degree of openness from the government and in the press in North Korea. Over here in America, I don’t even know who was President in the last few years.
…
Jake Tapper’s book, “Original Sin,” has a White House insider confessing, “Five people were running the country, and Joe Biden was at best a senior member of the board,”
…
‘He just had to win, and then he could disappear for four years. He’d only have to show proof of life every once in a while.”

Impeachment only works to remove a sitting President, but there is also the 25th Amendment, which was being pushed hard by the Left during Trump’s first term and which I wrote about on August 30, 2021 – “It’s 25th Amendment time” – specifically because I considered by then (before, then, also) that he was merely “President”. I updated that post in July, 2024 as the fighting inside the Democrat Party escalated to remove him as their 2024 candidate, pointing out that he needed to be removed as President as well, having already asked the question in 2022, Who’s in charge of the USA?.
That last question is now being asked again, and not just by nasty RW bloggers, but by the likes of Jake Tapper in his and other MSM members ongoing efforts to place the blame on others for having been “fooled” into covering Biden’s senility. Moreover, the suggestions are starting to resemble these prescient suggestions from 2022:
It is clear to me that he is not fronting any one person or even a small, tight-knit cabal that is actually in charge. What he’s fronting appears to be an enormous complex of competing committees.
It took a British newspaper, The TImes, to recently detail who might have been in a “small, tight-knit cabal”: Meet the Biden ‘politburo’. Heh, that’s a good name for them. You can read the details about each one at the link (some are obvious, some obscure) but here’s their list:
- Mike Donilon, the $4m-a-campaign adviser.
- Steve Ricchetti, the Biden gatekeeper.
- Ron Klain, ex-chief of staff (COS).
- Bruce Reed, Biden’s debate prep coach and COS during his Vice-Presidency.
- Anthony Bernal, Jill Biden’s COS and the eyes, ears and enforcer.
- Jill Biden
- Hunter Biden

I’d long picked Jill Biden and Ron Klain (2021) as the obvious decision makers.
But Hunter Biden? AYFKM?
Apparently that last was only true after Joe’s catastrophic debate with Trump, but even so, it’s incredible to think that such a booze and coke-addled louche would be involved in any decisions, let alone Presidential ones.

More evidence about the little known Anthony Bernal came yesterday via one of the motormouths of the Democrat Party, DNC Vice Chair David Hogg (admittedly caught off-guard by a Project Veritas’s operative)
The following discussion with former ABC and Washington Post journalist and editor, Mark Halperin, is about these aides and others using the autopen to get Biden’s signature on things they wanted to get done and how even a “senior Democrat” is now talking about this off-the-record.
In the wake of the recent news about Biden’s prostate cancer, his Whitehouse doctor (and long-time friend) Dr. Kevin O’Connor, is coming into the picture as well, though more on the cover-up side than Presidential decision-making.
It should be no surprise that the GOP Congress is likely to get involved, with House Oversight Chairman James Comer, issuing formal letters demanding transcribed interviews with five of Biden’s closest insiders, including O’Connor, former Domestic Policy Council Director Neera Tanden, Bernal and other longtime Biden loyalists Annie Tomasini, and Ashley Williams.
He’d subpoenaed those last three in 2024 but naturally got no cooperation from the Whitehouse. Things will be different this time with no more protection from the Whitehouse or the Department of Justice. I did chuckle at this article’s title, playing on the MSM screamers from Trump’s first term, The Walls Are Closing in on Biden’s Inner Circle, with Comer’s statement:
The cover-up of President Biden’s obvious mental decline is a historic scandal. The American people deserve to know when this decline began, how far it progressed, and who was making critical decisions on his behalf
For once the words “historic scandal” are not OTT, even more so as revelations have continued that this cabal was quite happy and motivated to keep doing all this in a second Biden term:
SHANNON BREAM: You quote a long-time Biden aide basically admitting he shouldn’t be running again. They said to you on page 85, ‘He just had to win, and then he could disappear for four years. He’d only have to show proof of life every once in a while. His aides could pick up the slack.’ Who would have been running the White House in a second Biden term?
ALEX THOMPSON: [co-author of Original Sin] Well, this person went on to say that when you’re voting for a president, you’re voting for the aides around him. But these aides were not even Senate-confirmed aides. These are White House aides. These were unelected people. And one of the things that really I think comes out in our reporting here is that if you believe — and I think a lot of these people do sincerely believe that Donald Trump was and is an existential threat to democracy — you can rationalize anything, including sometimes doing undemocratic things, which I think is what this person is talking about.
Let that sink in: They planned to use these “proof of life” moments to prop up the commander in chief, but actually run the country themselves. They openly discussed sidelining him after the 2024 election while turning the presidency over to a cabal of unelected loyalists, all under the justification of stopping Trump. The plan wasn’t to lead America; it was to bypass the American people entirely.
Tell me that is not treason.
Fuck you’re boring.
To compare “Watergate” to the actions of those who conspired to deny the cognisant decline and health issues for the Democrat Party to continue to completely hide the simple fact that the Executive Branch, one pillar of the four arms of US government, executive, legislative, judicial all working under the scrutiny and control of the Media, was totally being run by a bunch of unelected, unexamined by the Senate, shadowy individuals not even given any recognition for the voting public to assess, is being revealed as totally flawed.
Now the Westminster system has some similarities in that the executive role is the Cabinet and Prime Minister, the Legislative invested in the Parliament, and the Judicial all operating at the “Pleasure of the Monarch or in New Zealands case the Governor General, again supposedly under the scrutiny of the Media., CNN’s claiming a nonsensical defence of a stutter c2020 claiming the onset decline was merely a stutter?
Watergate began with a ham fisted attempt by a bunch of dark operators in the Pay of CRP (committee to reelect President) often mocked as CREEP, while Nixon the President was in full control of the executive branch and beyond the arena of the legislative branch of the House and the Senate, that was under no such existential threat such as the never revealed who exactly was operating the still largely misunderstood ” Biden Autopen”. No evidence Trump doesn’t sign his EOs
There is very little connection between the corruption of Mitchell, Nixon’s Attorney General and chair of the reelection committee in attempting to burglarize the Democrat Party HQ, and the deliberate decisions by Biden’s Party, wife, Son , and assorted close staffers to obfuscate just how debilitated their vegetable had become. A body who just needed to beat Trump once more and then be placed in a White House room and wheeled out occasionally to be seen as still breathing.
It was very similar at the end of both WW1 and WW2 with clearly debilitated Presidents operating behind a curtain.
In 1919 Democrat President Woodrow Wilson suffered a serious stroke and his second wife Edith managed to complete the term until the election of Warren Harding in 1920 in a landslide.
In 1945 another Democrat President elected for a fourth term with clearly observable declining health, Franklin Roosevelt died only weeks into that fourth term leaving once Missouri Senator then elevated to Vice President, Harry Truman to serve out the term, and go on to become re elected in 1948.
There sure is a Born to Rule driver for the party of slavery.
The health issues clearly observable for Roosevelt in the closing events of the war in Europe led to the 25th amendment mentioned in Tom’s post, thanks be they replaced Henry Wallace with Truman in 1943 for that 1944 election.
The free world really needs to address the current power held by the increasingly partisan Media and their adoption of support for political power for those they deem to be an only option. The legacy media of the US failed in their traditional role to the point of treason when it was obvious to blind Freddie’s dog, Biden was totally bereft of any ability to oversee the executive.
Hence ny inexplicable understanding as to why in hell Luxon and his coterie decline to end funding of the NZ MSM via NZ on Air, and financial support for TVNZ, and Radio NZ who shill loud and long to thwart the hopes and desires of a majority of NZ Voters?
The autopen was established for Presidential use when everybody wrote physical letters. Reagan needed an autopen, because without it, he’d be sitting there for 24 hours a day just signing fucking Christmas cards for most of his Presidency. Anything important though, Reagan actually signed himself. So the idea that a Politburo was using it to pretend to be Biden is just beyond appalling. It’s like one of those ’80s TV shows like Newhart or Dallas, where the final episode reveals it had all been a dream. And that’s possibly what Biden thinks it was, but sadly, we all lived it, and it was very real.
Watergate was just a second rate burglary compared to this.
So if he was that impaired, I wonder if all those presidential pardons will hold up? *cough* Hunter *cough*
Fascinating stuff
I don’t think there’s anything anybody can do about it. The President’s decision on pardons is final; I know of nothing in the US Constitution that allows them to be overturned, even if it could be proved that the President was non compos mentis and that others had simply set the robo-pen to work.
And WRT proof, the first would simply be a medical argument of expert v expert, and about something in the past rather than now, while the latter would require people to confess, knowing it could land them in serious shit. I can’t see any legal threat that could now be made against them that would see any of them turning into witnesses against others.
The Founders thought of a lot in advance but they always assumed that a President who’d gone lala would be removed via impeachment. Similarly in recent decades with the 25th Amendment.
But all that requires the President’s staff and aides to be honourable people, which past generations took for granted.
BTW, here’s the comparison of Presidential pardons, which GD wrote about back in January of this year.
