I’m perplexed by the degree of openness from the government and in the press in North Korea. Over here in America, I don’t even know who was President in the last few years.

Jake Tapper’s book, “Original Sin,” has a White House insider confessing, “Five people were running the country, and Joe Biden was at best a senior member of the board,”

‘He just had to win, and then he could disappear for four years. He’d only have to show proof of life every once in a while.”

L to R: Ron Klain, Anita Dunn, Bob Bauer

Impeachment only works to remove a sitting President, but there is also the 25th Amendment, which was being pushed hard by the Left during Trump’s first term and which I wrote about on August 30, 2021 – “It’s 25th Amendment time” – specifically because I considered by then (before, then, also) that he was merely “President”. I updated that post in July, 2024 as the fighting inside the Democrat Party escalated to remove him as their 2024 candidate, pointing out that he needed to be removed as President as well, having already asked the question in 2022, Who’s in charge of the USA?.

That last question is now being asked again, and not just by nasty RW bloggers, but by the likes of Jake Tapper in his and other MSM members ongoing efforts to place the blame on others for having been “fooled” into covering Biden’s senility. Moreover, the suggestions are starting to resemble these prescient suggestions from 2022:

It is clear to me that he is not fronting any one person or even a small, tight-knit cabal that is actually in charge. What he’s fronting appears to be an enormous complex of competing committees.

It took a British newspaper, The TImes, to recently detail who might have been in a “small, tight-knit cabal”: Meet the Biden ‘politburo’. Heh, that’s a good name for them. You can read the details about each one at the link (some are obvious, some obscure) but here’s their list:

  • Mike Donilon, the $4m-a-campaign adviser.
  • Steve Ricchetti, the Biden gatekeeper.
  • Ron Klain, ex-chief of staff (COS).
  • Bruce Reed, Biden’s debate prep coach and COS during his Vice-Presidency.
  • Anthony Bernal, Jill Biden’s COS and the eyes, ears and enforcer.
  • Jill Biden
  • Hunter Biden

I’d long picked Jill Biden and Ron Klain (2021) as the obvious decision makers.

But Hunter Biden? AYFKM?

Apparently that last was only true after Joe’s catastrophic debate with Trump, but even so, it’s incredible to think that such a booze and coke-addled louche would be involved in any decisions, let alone Presidential ones.

More evidence about the little known Anthony Bernal came yesterday via one of the motormouths of the Democrat Party, DNC Vice Chair David Hogg (admittedly caught off-guard by a Project Veritas’s operative)

The following discussion with former ABC and Washington Post journalist and editor, Mark Halperin, is about these aides and others using the autopen to get Biden’s signature on things they wanted to get done and how even a “senior Democrat” is now talking about this off-the-record.

In the wake of the recent news about Biden’s prostate cancer, his Whitehouse doctor (and long-time friend) Dr. Kevin O’Connor, is coming into the picture as well, though more on the cover-up side than Presidential decision-making.

It should be no surprise that the GOP Congress is likely to get involved, with House Oversight Chairman James Comer, issuing formal letters demanding transcribed interviews with five of Biden’s closest insiders, including O’Connor, former Domestic Policy Council Director Neera Tanden, Bernal and other longtime Biden loyalists Annie Tomasini, and Ashley Williams.

He’d subpoenaed those last three in 2024 but naturally got no cooperation from the Whitehouse. Things will be different this time with no more protection from the Whitehouse or the Department of Justice. I did chuckle at this article’s title, playing on the MSM screamers from Trump’s first term, The Walls Are Closing in on Biden’s Inner Circle, with Comer’s statement:

The cover-up of President Biden’s obvious mental decline is a historic scandal. The American people deserve to know when this decline began, how far it progressed, and who was making critical decisions on his behalf

For once the words “historic scandal” are not OTT, even more so as revelations have continued that this cabal was quite happy and motivated to keep doing all this in a second Biden term:

SHANNON BREAM: You quote a long-time Biden aide basically admitting he shouldn’t be running again. They said to you on page 85, ‘He just had to win, and then he could disappear for four years. He’d only have to show proof of life every once in a while. His aides could pick up the slack.’ Who would have been running the White House in a second Biden term?

ALEX THOMPSON: [co-author of Original Sin] Well, this person went on to say that when you’re voting for a president, you’re voting for the aides around him. But these aides were not even Senate-confirmed aides. These are White House aides. These were unelected people. And one of the things that really I think comes out in our reporting here is that if you believe — and I think a lot of these people do sincerely believe that Donald Trump was and is an existential threat to democracy — you can rationalize anything, including sometimes doing undemocratic things, which I think is what this person is talking about.

Let that sink in: They planned to use these “proof of life” moments to prop up the commander in chief, but actually run the country themselves. They openly discussed sidelining him after the 2024 election while turning the presidency over to a cabal of unelected loyalists, all under the justification of stopping Trump. The plan wasn’t to lead America; it was to bypass the American people entirely.

Tell me that is not treason.
