More precisely legal immigrants are down on illegal immigrants, and all the efforts by the Democrat-MSM Party to paper over the differences is now falling apart.
No group has become more hawkish on immigration & shifted to the GOP than immigrants.

Those are incredible shifts, which is what’s powering another polling figure.
The reason is that millions of immigrants did the hard yards on the slog of going through the INS (Immigration and Naturalisation Service) and they really don’t appreciate others skipping all that and then screwing the system even further on things like Medicaid, courtesy of Democrat Party people like Newsom.
This is one of the reasons that the Democrat-Left-MSM playbook is failing, after years of success in weaponising it against the GOP. So successful was it that, after the 2012 election loss by Mitt Romney, the GOP commissioned an internal study of how to avoid such a failure again and concluded that one of the things they had to do to appeal to immigrants was go softer on illegal immigrants. How else could even Hispanic citizens of the USA be appealed to?
Thus we got Jeb Bush in 2016, speaking in fluent Spanish, with a Hispanic wife and soft-cock approaches to the border. Naturally he, like the Democrats and the MSM, scoffed at and ridiculed Trump’s approach, which was the exact opposite of his (and the Party’s). When Trump won that primary and then the election – which the immigration squishes in the GOP like the Bush-Romney wing swore he’d lose because he would be so easily portrayed by the Left as a racist on the border issue – he effectively destroyed that part of the GOP.
Now he’s busy destroying their counterparts in the Democrat Party. The playbook isn’t working so well anymore, thanks to:
- People actually seeing what an open borders policy looks like (thanks Joe’s controllers), which they couldn’t in 2017.
- The growing power of the Far Left fringe inside the Democrat Party, from leaders like AOC down to the Antifa Sturmabteilung required to create “chaos” on the streets to blame on Trump. The Democrats are now in the very nasty position of needing them.
- The massive decline in trust of the MSM to assist in all of this, reinforcing the narratives that help the Democrats and refusing to cover those that hurt it. The decline compounded by all the other lies they’ve told on other issues. I see that Fox News, a frigging cable news show, is now not just beating its direct competitors like CNN and MSNBC, but the individual nightly broadcasts from the Old Three.
But it’s actually X, Tiktok and the Internet in general that’s helping to destroy them, first via taking away their advertising revenue, now by having ordinary people’s uploaded cellphone videos contradicting the “editorial” decisions of the MSM.
Such is the power of all three factors that it has now penetrated the legal immigrant community of America.
No Minister 
I live in a place that’s 70% Hispanic, and can confirm that there is nobody more patriotic than a middle class Texan Latino. They’re generally conservative, Christian people who despise DEI and the “Latinx” label that Democrats have bestowed on them, they can see the direct effect of a porous border, and they actually find being lumped in with illegals incredibly racist. There’s possibly more sympathy for illegals in the Barrios of the Southside of the city, and among the boomer generation who still consume MSM, but generally Hispanics can see where the lay of the land lies. Ironically the Democrats are seen more and more as a party of white women too.
