Actually they’re ideas that belong to everyone, but it’s good to be reminded now and again that they work. As always I’ll copy and past this Tweet before it goes bye bye.

What Poland did:

  1. Embrace capitalism & free markets, lots of deregulation and making it easier to start businesses.
  2. Enforce the rule of law so people feel safe and businesses can take risks.
  3. Immigration reform focused on Selective Migration – policy favors migrants who can contribute to the Polish economy, using a point system to assess their skills and qualifications.

The comparison to Iran is appropriate, considering that they spent tens of billions of dollars spent on their nuclear weapon program rather than to develop an economy to lift their people up, and they’re currently seeing that investment go up in smoke.

Of course I’d already used the comparison to Britain in another post on Poland’s economy.
