BTW, X has a fact-checking group which is simply ordinary users and they’re very good in catching falsehoods on the platform.
For example, they caught out this outfit, something called “DailyNews Viral”, pushing a video claiming that Iranian officials were fleeing on private planes and revealed that it was altered video from 2023.
So if this claim of prisoners walking out of their jails is false I’m sure they’ll catch up to it soon – faster than the MSM for sure.

As for the accuracy of the prison breakout, I find it’s poor form to rush out and publish ‘fresh news’, only to risk looking like a fool a few weeks later.
Personally, I can’t see there been a so called revolution in Iran
Agree on the fresh news stuff, which I try to avoid for the reason you cite but also because a blog is not a news source.
However, in this case I felt that I’d done enough analysis over the years here on NM that I could start showing fresher stuff because it’s more data points.
I have doubts about an Iranian revolution also, but the huge protests that have erupted every few years have only been beaten back because the Mullahs had their thugs well organised, if vastly outnumbered.
But now, with their military and IRGC leadership being decapitated and Israel making it clear that even the Ayatollah could find himself in a gunsight, plus the fact that the violent young revolutionaries of 1979 are now old men, it might be enough to push them over.
