The Islamists are getting bolder across the West, as you can see with one of the candidates for Mayor of New York City – who is also a Democratic-Socialist, a combination we’re seeing more of….

SJP is Students for Justice in Palestine. Naturally he’s an ally of other Jew-hating groups like CAIR. He has a huge fan in the form of Jew-hating Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib. He woke up the day after the Hamas slaughter of 1,200 Israelis and condemned…Israel, which makes sense because he doesn’t believe in Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state, has endorsed the BDS (‘boycott, divest, sanction’) movement, says he’d arrest the Israeli Prime Minister if he came to town.

On the commie front it doesn’t get much more pure than attacking capitalism as ‘theft’ which naturally leads to wanting government-owned grocery stores.

Struggle? Yes, another word for that is Kampf. Naturally his base is young, university-educated, and overwhelmingly left wing. Which also means he’s on the anti-ICE side….

I did laugh at what his own mother said of him a few years ago, before he became a US citizen:

In 2013 Zohran Mamdani’s mother told an Indian newspaper that her son “was not an American at all” “He was born in Uganda, raised between India and America. He is at home in many places. He thinks of himself as a Ugandan and as an Indian”

Of course. He’s actually a Citizen Of The World. Plus the recent anti-Tesla protests and a true believer in the almost defunct Defund The Police movement.

And I thought Mayor De Blasio was out there. If NYC can elect a Cuba-loving commie like him then Mamdani could be in with a chance, because apparently it takes a lot more pain than even a Democrat Mayor can dish out for the voters to not vote Democrat – as we’ve seen in San Francisco, LA, Chicago and other places. In Chicago they simply exchanged one horror show, Lori Lightfoot, after one term, with an even greater horror show in Brandon Johnson.

So while Adams was a correction to De Blasio it obviously wasn’t a permanent shift. Now they have this rich little communist kid on their hands – his parents are a prominent academic and a film director. He’s so far out there that the Old Guard of the New York Democrat Party are slamming him.

Remember that the GOP doesn’t count in the city, current Mayor Eric Adams is running as an independent and not doing well, so it’s the Democrat Primary that matters and although disgraced New York Governor Andrew Cuomo wasn’t given much of a chance, the likes of Mamdani are keeping him ahead, with a May 2025 Emerson College poll putting him at 35%. However, that’s not so far head of Mamdani in 2nd place with 23% and the fact that NYC has embraced ranked-choice voting, plus a solid turnout by his Far Left base, might see him win. The good news for Cuomo is that such a system helps him if his opposition are split, and they are, all being shades of Mamdani.

But if Mamdani wins all hell will break loose in NYC, both within the city and with the Trump administration.
