While Parts of New Zealand are having a revisiting to the frosts of yesteryear Europe is having a “Heat Wave with UK enjoying temperatures in the thirties. This has led to NZME headlining “Fears of Climate Change”.

Now one thing reliable with Weather, it changes and that fact sees innumerable scientists grappling with outcomes as if there is any human intervention that might bring relief for affected zones. I have vivid memories of my early entry into farming when a property purchased in the now world renowned Grape Growing area of Waipara suffered half a decade of drought conditions. The sheer eye-watering costs of that water harvesting scheme saw this skeptic depart the Waipara farm in the main on sheer economic reality because I knew people digging wells on the Plains and pumping water once to grow crops and grass, struggling and sometimes becoming forced out, while we were going to become rich pumping water twice and losing some of the most productive land to build the “ten acre foot” dam structure.

I also recall a tale of woe in the Iconic “School Journal” c1950s where God lowered a rope from the heavens for the citizens some control over weather by tugging the rope for rain then tugging it to bring sunshine. Well entirely predictably, there was disquiet over what was actually wanted and that led to endless tugging from competing views eventually bringing “Gods Rope ” tumbling to earth.

Any demented soul who seriously believes Man can hold influence over global weather requires a degree of mental gymnastics that only the gullible might possess, however adding in financial incentives and political power broking and wallah, there emerges faster than a skittering heifer can spray effluent, a bunch of manipulators with academic response at the ready.

People such as a certain Mr Tim Flannery making outrageous claims that the East coast of Australia will never see sufficient rainfall to fill the Dams being constructed for storage decades ago. Of course recent seasons have debunked that academic manipulation as that region has endured flooding, dams spilling and other damaging outcomes from excessive rainfall he was so wrong about.

So Nelson, Marlborough and Tasman have been savaged by flooding while Europe endures a dry that threatens the Barge traffic on the Rhine now carrying loadings below 50% of capacity to maintain travel.
All the while current rulers across the world pursue a failed conspiracy that sees little old NZ sending Billions of dollars we do not possess to Paris to assist unnamed nations to deal with the depredations of Climate Change. While the four biggest emitters of Carbon residue from burning fossil fuels to maintain essential basic services just build bigger arrays of generators without a second thought and more damaging do not contribute a single dollar to the Ponzi scheme that continues the descent into real poverty for the stupid morons elected by a majority of that Gullible cohort.

That said one of the high priests of such nonsense across the ditch, one diminutive in stature and intellect, Chris Bowen, has back flipped in his mindless pursuit of “Renewables” to provide the more and more expensive electricity, and is now promoting further Gas exploration to fuel Australia’s appetite for affordable ‘lectric’. Pity is, that destructive little moron has already damaged so much of the affordable energy generation and has just been awarded another three years to continue his destructive idiocy.

One other aspect of modern life intruding on the utter stupidity, there will always be somewhere around the Globe enjoying instant highlighting of any disaster perceived or not that in earlier times might take months to be reported is now available in real time accompanied by real time film footage to continue to instill such fears in the next generations of the Gullible.
