The Federal Supreme Court in Washington is inherently conservative due in large part to the simple fact that Democrat leaning Justices tend to hang on until the Grim Reaper intervenes while Republican Appointees see sense and retire while one of theirs is in the White House thereby enabling the conservative advantage to remain.

In 1937 when his “New Deal” lurch towards Socialism had been foundering during his First Term, often at the hands of conservative Justices, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, began planning to appoint additional Justices to the court on a pretext it would allow the new Justices to replace those reaching 70 years of age in a legislated move?
However the inherent conservatism of the US electorate quickly began moves to thwart such interventions by FDR, eventually ending it with execution in the Democrat Party controlled Senate Many Democrat Party people began to understand the constitutional dangers accompanying the moves.

During Trump one, disaffected Democrats led by Pelosi in the House and Schumer in the Senate began muttering to have another go to bring the SCOTUS under political control, after Trump was enabled to take advantage following the abortive attempt to place Merrick Garland to the court in the closing times of Obama to replace deceased Antoni Scalia, a conservative. This was opposed by the Republican controlled Senate that blocked Garland’s nomination and subsequently it has been seriously supported the US dodged a bullet with subsequent appointment of Merrick Garland to the Justice Department that went nuclear on attempts to prevent Trump Governing in his first term. Garland exposed as a party hack, serious scholar he is not.

Back to the closing year of Obama’s Presidency, An aging Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Battling Cancer continued to sit on the supreme court in spite of pleas to retire to allow Obama to replace her, eventually passing during the Campaign when Hillary was destined to become the first Female POTUS.

Of course many a slip between cup and Lip, The Don prevailed in the 2016 election and nominated Neil Gorsuch to replace Scalia, then Kavanaugh two years later to replace retiring Kennedy and Amy Connor Barrett to replace Ginsburg.

Dear Old “Autopen Vegetable the First” finally got an opening to replace retiring Breyer, a Clinton appointment and he abandoned the long sequence of seeking Judicial Scholars and appointed a Black (tick), female(tick), lawyer from the ranks of prosecutors becoming judges and the DEI was celebrated.

Last week that DEI appointee was exposed mercilessly when in a published minority opinion Justice Jackson made a complete idiot of herself and suffered the bigly put down from fellow Female Justice Amy Coney Barrett.

Long standing opposition to Judicial Progressiveness has won some serious pushback lately with The SCOTUS ruling emphatically against local politically appointed judges issuing blocks to executive authority as Democrat Party supporting judges issuing “National” rulings against the executive in the main on gender and illegal aliens with the current executive grappling with serious affronts to majority public opinion.
