But as in most things 100% is probably not possible:
Hamas has reportedly lost about 80% of its control over Gaza, a senior official from the terrorist organization told the BBC. The official explained that Hamas’s command and control infrastructure had collapsed after months of Israeli airstrikes, which wiped out its political, military, and security leadership.
“Let’s be realistic here – there’s barely anything left of the security structure. Most of the leadership, about 95%, are now dead… The active figures have all been killed,” he said in the interview published Sunday.
Given the level of Jew-Hatred that has been nourished and taught to Gazan kids for more than twenty years it probably doesn’t matter if Hamas is completely wiped out because another group that thinks the same will arise.
Mind you, at the end of WWII there were probably any number of soldiers who’d fought against the Nazis and the Imperial Japanese Army and Navy who thought the same thing about those native populations.
It also did not require killing every Nazi and Japanese Imperialist, merely the complete dismantling of every aspect of their structures, beyond merely the military ones.
Therein lies the answer; if Gaza is to have any normal future then this ideology has to be wiped out across every institution there – schools, media, social media, etc. And wiping it out also means tossing out of Gaza or imprisoning anybody who promotes it in any forum.
The problem is that behind the hatred, driving it, is Islam, which is far larger and more comprehensive than the ideologies that controlled Germany and Japan for the better part of two decades.
While the surrounding Islamic Arab nations have seemingly backed away from it – only after many decades of failing to destroy Israel – they show no signs of wanting to get involved with running Gaza, which shows up in other comments made by this spokesman:
All the conditions are aligned: Israel has the upper hand, the world is silent, the Arab regimes are silent, criminal gangs are everywhere, and society is collapsing. Let me be clear: the security situation has completely collapsed. There is no control anywhere.
So, the security situation is zero. Hamas’s control is zero. There’s no leadership, no command, no communication. Salaries are delayed, and when they arrive, they are barely usable. Some die just trying to collect them. It’s total collapse.
Of course they’re silent. They’ve seen 50 years of the Palestinians trying to destroy one Arab nation after another; Jordan in the late 1960′; Lebanon in the mid-late 70’s (after they got booted from Jordan during Black September); Kuwait in 1990 where they cheered on Saddam’s invasion after the Kuwaitis had supported them for decades with jobs, welfare, political and diplomatic support – and promptly booted out all 300,000 of them after Desert Storm had done the same to Saddam.
So who the hell is going to fix Gaza? Israel? The USA? The United Nations? They’ve already demonstrated how corrupt they are on this matter, with their agency UNRWA basically supporting Hamas.
Gaza is mainly Sunni as is 90% of world Islam?
Iran and its two proxis Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthi in Yemen are Shia so in the absence of Iran now as a sponsor will the Sunni now attempt to bring about a measure of peace along the lines of the Million plus arab Israeli citizens who appear to have grasped a live and let live mantra.
How any rational person can pursue a Two State Solution when the avowed intention of one state is to seek the annihilation of the other as chanted endlessly by idiots with limited brain power world wide does invite ridicule..
The world awaits what Trump and Netanyahu resolve this week as a next step but your bit on the education of almost every gazan Child to mindlessly hate all Jews over decades does not inspire hope.
After 10/7 the Two State solution is dead except in the mouths of liars like Minto and other pro-Hamas figures in the West – and I say liars because I don’t think they believe it themselves, especially since they’ve hitched themselves to a group that openly calls for a single state solution.
Whether that last or the two-state solution, every Israeli, and a good part of the world, understands that it’s just code for easier mass killing of Jews in the future. The Arabs that currently live in Israel are not the same as the Gazans, and they, and every Arab in the Middle East now know it.
A single state would be like living next door to a serial killer.
“It also did not require killing every Nazi and Japanese Imperialist, merely the complete dismantling of every aspect of their structures, beyond merely the military ones.”
I think it required something else after WW2. The rebuilding of Germany and Japan as nations so that they weren’t economic basket cases.. A level of foresight for which the world can thank the USA, unlike the vindictiveness that was levelled towards Germany after WW1 by other nations.
True. I should have mentioned that.
The worry I have is that the Gazans don’t have the same attitude towards industry/economics as the Germans and Japanese, who got on with it themselves after WWII, even as the Americans helped them.
Back in 2005 when Israel withdrew from Gaza I had hopes that the locals would do that – it could have become Singapore on the Med. But they had no Lee Kuan Yew and of course they famously smashed up every farm greenhouse the Israeli settlers had built.
There’s still hope I guess but it’s slim.
Japan also had a figure head with the Emperor that the people could follow, and who wisely (especially as his hands weren’t exactly clean of the actions of the Japanese Imperial Army) decided to instruct them to work with the allies.
I also find it funny when people tell me how the USA is responsible for all evil in the world that they conveniently forget things like the Marshall Plan
