In his Government Marketing Post earlier this afternoon our good friend GD came up with this nickname for Prime Minister Christopher Luxon:
`Chaos Christopher’
I think it is a doozy and better than the one I had as the best previously:
`The Bald Jacinda’
In my wisdom I shared this on Kiwiblog General Debate – but, the Mods deleted my post. Well I assume they did because I could not find it when I looked a few minutes ago..
It is a sad day when we cannot poke fun at our Politicians yet abuse seems okay.
For whatever reason the KB mods are hot on deleting nicknames for any politician or public figure. I don’t typically do so but I’ve noticed others getting comments modified with a warning.
I see that I got away with “Two Tier Kier” in at least a couple of posts so perhaps it’s just locals that are being protected?
Even applies to other commenters Tom.
I get in strife for calling regular troll Mike – mikey.
and
Regular pedant and commenter Ghost – ghostie.
Actually I cannot work Ghost out – is he a troll or a know it all?
Yet one can call Cassandra – Cass.
Never Mind The Bollocks – Bollocks.
Without any reaction from the Mods – hard to work out.
I don’t think “Ghost” is a troll because I’ve seen him get really wound up about at least one issue – speeding – due a loss earlier in his life. Trolls never wear their emotions on their sleeve about anything.
But he is a mainstream National Party supporter who prides himself on not getting caught up in what he clearly thinks are silly, distracting issues and he gets really irritated by unsourced claims.
I gave KB away. Strange mods plus it became an almost fulltime ghost hangout.
Usually well informed Australian Financial Review columnist Chanticleer claims big brother Wollies Australia is disappointed with the performance of little brother Wollies New Zealand.(1)
It would be dark irony if NZ political meddling destroyed the duopoly by creating a monopoly.
