The headline: Organic honey: Couple’s sweet success on the Coromandel Peninsula

According to Duckduckgo Organic refers to something that is related to living organisms or derived from them. In the context of food, it means products grown without the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or other artificial chemicals.

My understanding of New Zealand law is that “honey”, when used to describe a product (and not the describer’s latest squeeze) must refer to the product produced by honey bees with zero additives: ie pure honey.

Therefore isn’t ALL honey in New Zealand “organic”?

Isn’t the headline nothing more than the usual journalistic dishonest bullshit (ie advertising)?
