Frankly I’m surprised the prick on the right is still alive, yet here he is again just the other day, boasting of success in the prospect that France, Britain and Canada are saying that they will recognise a Palestinian state if Israel doesn’t agree to a ceasefire with Hamas. But it’s what started them on that path that he’s really thrilled about.
Fruits! Harvests! I guess it depends on the translator, but the overall meaning is clear. The massacre of 1200 Jews on October 7, 2023 was a “great historical achievement”:
The first thing [being] that it brought back the Palestinian issue. Today, why do all countries, give me just one example, why do all countries recognize Palestine now? Before Oct. 7, was there a country that dared to recognize the State of Palestine? Just give me an example of that. Now the harvest of Oct. 7 is what made the whole world open its eyes to the Palestinian cause.
Sadly he is correct.
Fifty hostages still remain in Hamas captivity, an actual, clear, war crime that nobody cares about, including people who will argue semantics about the modern definitions of “genocide” so that they can claim the Jews are committing one.
None other than the son of Hamas’s co-founder and a defector to Israel, Mosab Hassan Yousef, recently and truly stated:
October 7 didn’t happen because ‘Palestinians’ were denied a state, it happened because they were given one.
Like many people I had hoped that the 2005 decision by Israel to withdraw from Gaza would work, and was surely better than trying to govern such a place, with IDF soldiers regularly getting picked off – The Troubles x 100. But all it did was give the Muslims who deceptively call themselves “Palestinians” a base for jihadist terrorist operations. The two-state solution was already tried — both with the creation of Jordan and the gift of the Gaza Strip — and it has failed miserably on multiple occasions.
Now Israel is talking of once again fully occupying the place, supposedly calming it down before handing it over to “friendly Arab forces”. I can’t see that working any better than last time, especially since every Arab nation has backed away from Hamas and want no part of the Gaza shit hole. But perhaps the cost of a few soldiers a year will be counted against preventing another pogrom of thousands of Jews.
Tom,
Perhaps you need to swot up a bit on history.
The Palestinians were removed from their land by a foreign force. Israel under the Edict of the UN.
You talk about the 50 hostages, a clear war crime.
You neglect to reference Israels “”war crimes””, including
starvation as a method of warfare and intentionally directing attacks against the civilian population
Which lead the ICJ to issue warrants of arrest for Israeli leaders.
Of course, these were not the only crimes. I refer you to
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israeli_war_crimes
Let alone the illegal occupation of territory after the 1967 war.
I reference
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_the_Israeli_occupation_of_Palestine
Then you talk about the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza.
It was a method to stop peace talks.
Gaza was still under the control of Israel which then bankrolled HAMAS to try and control GAZA.
I refer you to Since then, the United Nations, many other international humanitarian and legal organizations, and most academic commentators have continued to regard the Gaza Strip as being under Israeli occupation due to Israel’s active control over the territory’s external affairs, as affirmed by the 2024 International Court of Justice advisory opinion.
As always, the media propaganda picks sides, and the uninformed jump on teh narrative proposed by ??????
Personally I blame Netanyahu for the whole sorry mess. The majority of Israelis and Palestinians want to leave in peace.
As someone said.
Doing what you have always done will always give you what you have always got.
IDF attacks on Palestine will always incentivise “”Freedom Fighters”” to push back.
The October 7th attacks were calculated (knowing Netanyahu’s response) to bring the matter to the worlds’ attention.
I appreciate you have an opinion, as we all have.
But would be nice if you used some facts to back up your arguments/opinions.
PS. Netanyahu was presented with a plan to quickly and effectively flood the Gaza tunnels. Limiting Civilian Casualties and removing HAMAS access to caches of weapons. Approved as feasible by the IDF, Netanyahu overruled them as he wanted to destroy Gaza.
