This time at sea.
Two Chinese ships collided with each other in the South China Sea on Monday while trying to harass the Philippines’ coast guard, video shows.
In a high-speed chase, the China Coast Guard (CCG) vessel 3104 was pursuing the Philippine patrol ship BRP Suluan approximately 10.5 nautical miles east of the contentious Scarborough Shoal, deploying water its water cannon at one point, according to Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Spokesperson Jay Tarriela. As the CCG vessel approached the boat, it collided with a larger Chinese Navy destroyer that attempted to intervene by positioning itself between the Philippine ship and the coast guard cutter.
The next set of pictures show that the Chinese Coast Guard vessel took a serious hit.
As required by the laws of the sea – and common human decency – the Philippine ship stuck around to help out, but these stunts being pulled by China really are getting out of control.
I’ve been out and about today.
If the Philipinos put NZ old-fart drivers in charge of their boats the Chinese would hide at home, quaking in their boots. The Chinese obviously do.
What if the Filipinos put RNZN pomdykes in charge?

Philippine skipper mastered his art on GTA!
Under Col Regs the CCG vessel should have given way to the PLAN vessel.
The PCGC should have given way to the PLAN vessel and the CCG vessel as te overtaking vessel should have kept out of the ay of the PCG Vesel!!!!
But really the Chinese should not play silly what’s it’s like that.
Recycled steel just isn’t that strong.
