Dream on White girl, Dream on White Boy (Part II)

with 3 comments

A couple of years ago during the height of the 2020 American Summer BLM/Antifa riots I posted about a couple of episodes of painfully woke White people involved in confrontation with concepts they did not approve of – concepts either held or exhibited by Black people, Dream on White girl, Dream on White Boy.

As the passion of those days recedes into rational calmness it’s easy to forget how insane it was, but the fallout continues because the riots were just a symptom of the real insanity.

Recently a University of Delaware communications professor, one Dr. Danna Young, both showed this insanity and got a bit of an education lesson about the issues with young people today, especially young men.

This occurred when she issued the following Tweet – and got a response.

If you wish you can read the rest of her screed as she (and her Twitter friends of similar age) go on to blame gaming, social media, and ‘niche online spaces’, etc, etc.

Except that an 18 year old man, one Daniel Schmidt, a freshman at the University of Chicago, turned up on the thread and let her know what’s really been going on, since he clearly recalls his middle-school years and high school.  She’s locked her account now but you can check out that link for the original Tweets. Meantime, here’s a concise re-package of his responses:

I’m an 18-year-old white male. I was in middle school only 5 years ago. I think I can offer some perspective on @dannagal‘s thread. Yes, young white males increasingly identify as right-wing.

But why? From my experience, here’s what’s really happening:

THREAD:

Thought experiment:

Imagine you’re an 8th-grade boy. You’re beginning to be told by teachers, the media, and maybe your parents that you’re privileged because you’re a boy. It’s a basic truth, you’re told. But this just makes you confused. You start asking yourself questions. If boys are privileged, why do the girls in my class tend to get better grades? Why are there more girls than boys in my advanced classes? Why are the girls more well-behaved and focused? Why are some of the girls preparing for college applications already? By the time you get to high school, your confusion only grows.

Your friend, who used to go to church with you, has become addicted to porn. Another friend, whose parents have recently divorced, has started using drugs. Your friends start appearing unmotivated and demoralized. Meanwhile, the girls at your school continue to be over-represented in honors classes, get better test scores and grades, obtain more leadership positions, and participate in more extracurriculars.

But you’re still repeatedly told that boys are privileged. How could this be? Then, when college acceptances come out, you notice many more girls than boys get into top universities. More girls are going to college in general, for that matter. But for some reason, all you hear is that girls are underrepresented in higher education. It’s confusing. When you search for scholarships to apply to, you find hundreds that are only open to women. When you tour college campuses, you hear how proud the school is to have student organizations like Women in Law, Women in Business, and Women in Science.

It all becomes too much. You start doing research. You discover that men are more likely to be homeless, go to prison, become alcoholics, struggle with isolation/loneliness, die of a drug overdose, and commit suicide. But all you hear about, for some reason, is something called the “gender pay gap.”

Eventually, you find out that the only people who seem to talk about the issues facing men — the only people who appear to sympathize with how you feel — are so-called “alt-right” figures like Jordan Peterson. You start listening to them. For once, you feel like you’re not alone.

Now imagine you’re an 8th-grade white boy. On top of the alienation you experience for merely being a boy, you’re told by teachers, the media, and maybe even your parents that you should feel some form of remorse for being white. You’re as privileged as it gets, you’re told. This doesn’t make much sense to you. Why should you feel bad for being white — something you can’t control?

This is a question you and your white classmates implicitly know cannot be asked. So instead, all of you submit. Humiliation quickly leads to demoralization. As you get older, you feel increasingly unwelcome by society. “Diversity and inclusion” initiatives and never-ending anti-white messaging from the media only make you feel like a burden.

So you turn to the Internet, where you feel welcome by video games and right-wing forums. Younger and younger white males are following this path. They feel they’re simply unwelcome by society, and they escape to a select few communities and websites.

For the first time in America’s history, the founding demographic is dropping out of society in massive numbers. Dr. Danna Young’s solution? “Inclusive programming and a critical historical lens.”

It’s almost like their goal is to demoralize and demonize young men — the group most likely to challenge our ruling class.

Perhaps – with luck – he’ll encounter young woman like Misha Petrov, who has also had a red-pill experience with the toxic, modern Left (11 minutes). There are a number of interesting observations that she makes:

  • She considered herself a Democrat like most people her age.
  • She was neck-deep in leftism, especially in her university where radical leftist politics was being shoved down her throat at all times, even in classes that had nothing to do with socio-political matters. She couldn’t get through a math class without it being woke.
  • She was under the impression that very few people in this nation were actually conservative.
  • She was led to believe that it was a small, almost cult-like group of racists and bigots, due in large part to the way social media algorithms work.
  • Because she was surrounded constantly by mainstream content, she was under the impression that leftism was the most dominant political ideology in America, as the more she engaged in it the more it was recommended to her by social media.
  • She had a moment of awakening when the documentary “The Social Dilemma” pointed out that social media algorithms feed political division. She posted the clip from the documentary to her social friends and not much later, received a handful of text messages from her friends asking why she posted it and if she’s a Trump supporter now?

Unfortunately there’s apparently an entire pipeline of these Young White People on the way, if the following TikTok is anything to go by. The mother was so proud. I feel sorry for her little girl, who already looks miserable – as little kids tend to be when told that they’re guilty, guilty, guilty…

A database of progressive white men who are thirsty for credit

On Freddie deBoer’s substack site, he has a very funny, if lengthy, article which takes a few nasty shots at people I’ve mostly (and fortunately) never heard of but clones of which exists everywhere, The Good White Man Roster.

Freddie starts with an overview:

These are the guys who have carefully crafted personas as ALLIES, as the good ones, as the right kind of white guy. These are the dudes whose every engagement on social media functions to let you know how very sorry they are, but always seem to come out on top in doing so.

And then goes through a list. Here are some samples of his takes:

… this is the Good White Man in his Platonic form… He’s so very sorry, everybody, and it cannot escape your notice that he’s more sorry than everyone else; that’s what an advanced being he is. He apologizes, but only in the context of referring to some earlier, fallen self, and in doing so he inescapably valorizes his current self… He who humbleth himself wishes to be exalted.

Chris Hayes, MSNBC

[MSNBC’s Chris Hayes is] a living, breathing laundromat for the post-collegiate elite’s ugly feelings of superiority, reassuring them every day on his show that their snobbery and self-obsession are justified thanks to their superior moral virtue… I genuinely cannot remember the last time this man made an argument on his show that risked offending subscribers to the New York Times.

There are a lot of people competing for the “most ardent supporter of a totally undertheorized and substance-free vision of an ostensibly post-capitalist future” crown these days, but Higgins is not going to be outworked on that score. Dialectics. False consciousness. Defund the police, or abolish ICE, or whatever. Let’s uh build the exceptionally vague society of our dreams. Also he lists his literary agent in his Twitter bio, which I find truly amazing.

Hello! Would you like a sneering shithead to condescendingly inform you that the dead center of witless corporate liberal opinion is in fact the utterly spotless expression of the transcendent truth, delivered with total conviction by someone who spent fifteen minutes reading Quora answers to arrive at his position? Buddy, have I got a pundit for you!

This man is the basic bitch of Good White Men, a computer-generated NPC of a Noble Ally. Everything about his performance (and, if you’ll forgive me, his face) is so perfectly in the center of Good White Manness, I half suspect he’s been created by a creepy machine learning algorithm designed to mimic embittered social studies teachers who always told themselves they were destined for more.

The kind of guy who discovers body positivity only after his metabolism slows down at 24 and suddenly he can’t lose his beer gut. The kind of guy who develops a keen interest in Thatcher’s depravity during the Troubles while taking a semester abroad in Dublin surrounded by cute girls with republican sentiments and potentially-accessible vaginas.

His general take on such White Men is also precise

Any Good White Man who feels that their appearance on this roster is an injustice can easily be removed. They need only follow their ideology to its logical ends by shutting the fuck up.

Which they will never, ever do.

The latest in our White Supremacist Watch list

Another Curia survey, this time looking at the protestors themselves:

Who is at the protest and why?

Apparently Sean Plunket’s new online show, The Platform, is the one who commissioned Curia to do the polls and it involved sending people into the crowd to do the job. The response rate was an incredible 95%.

If only more reporters had done this. But then the results would have screwed their narrative, which I see Stuff is continuing to push today with a headline about “Holocaust distortion and anti-Semitism being rife” in the group. Not what the Curia poll found.

Turns out that it’s not a White Supremacist anti-vaxx protest but more of more of a Labour/Green non-violent anti-mandate protest made up of a reasonably representative group of New Zealanders, almost half of whom l voted for Labour/Greens at the last election. Almost a third of the group are Maori and the proportion of Maori Party voters is way out of line with their nation-wide vote.

I wasn’t surprised that 76.9% are unvaccinated. I’m sure that Bob Jones is surprised that we haven’t seen dozens of bodies from the sick and the dying, as he predicted two weeks ago with Doing God’s Work:

I can see why Luxon and Seymour don’t want to meet this River Of Filth.

It’s also likely why both Chris Trotter and Bob Jones have held back comments on their blogs for several days now; I suspect they’re getting a lot less support than they expected for their sneering attacks on the protestors.

I also had to laugh at DPF’s comment:

While I was concerned about health and safety issues, my staff report that they did not encounter any threatening behaviour at all.

Remember that DPF lives in Wellington and frequents this exact area. Looks like he continues to rely on the likes of Stuff for news.

Just to summarise:

  • These protestor folks are not alt-right, neo-Nazis.
  • They are not intent on violence.
  • They do not seem to be the source of a covid outbreak.

How difficult would it have been for a MSM journalist to ascertain a few facts two weeks ago?

White Supremacy and The Democrat Party

with 10 comments

For a party so long invested in White Racism you’d think they’d understand it better now that they claim to be on the other side from it.

But the results from Tuesday’s elections in Virginia and New Jersey, and the subsequent fallout from Democrats and the MSM allies tearing their hair out in frustration at their losses and near losses, show that rather than asking why they lost they’re convinced that they already know why:

Ms Hill is a former sports journalist who now makes a living as a race-grifting writer at places like The Atlantic. Among the talking heads she was not alone in this. The best response was from the newly elected Virginia Lt. Governor-Elect, Republican and former US Marine, Winsome Sears:

This followed some pathetic Democrat attempts to derail the Youngkin campaign along the same lines by trying to recreate the infamous Charlottesville “Tiki Torch” event on which Trump got so hammered (remember the lie about “very fine people”).

The “Charlie” Tweeting out that photo was a Democrat operative, as were a couple in the photo who apparently forgot about their own FaceTwit accounts, which is how they were identified so quickly.

You should also note the presence of a Black guy: even the White Supremacists have been sucked into this “diversity” crap.

But they can’t help themselves. They really do think that what works on FaceTwit for shits & giggles will work in real life. Instead it blew up in their faces in just a few hours.

Then there was this wonderful example of the cooperation of the MSM and the Democrat Party:

Yesirree Bob, that there is a couple of good old fashioned White Supremacists at a Youngkin rally. You can tell they’re White Supremacists by the cowboy hats and the confederate flag freshly ironed on to that unused denim jacket. The MSM punched out the photo on the left in double-quick time and never bothered asking who they were or why they were there – or why they’re the only ones wearing cowboy hats in the crowd, or especially why they turned up so perfectly placed right in front of the media stand, as the photo on the right clearly shows.

Of course the MSM didn’t ask those questions – because they’re effectively Democrat operatives with bylines and were all in on supporting the “message” the Democrats wanted to send. It’s the other side of this theme:

Bad news for White Supremacists

leave a comment »

You know that little symbol you’ve been using to communicate with eachother as a symbol of White Power?

The symbol that the Democrats, the US Left and the MSM (but I repeat myself), all went apeshit about after Trump became President?

This sign =>

Well, bad news haters. It turns out that’s wrong. We know this now, not just because President Biden used it in his poorly viewed train wreck of a “Town hall” meeting on CNN the other night,…

… but also because people who tried to claim he was flashing the WP sign have been…. fact checked! By none other than Politifact!

This started when Twitter account called “Libs of Tik Tok” – who specialise in having fun with earnest US “Liberals” – tweeted the following: bonus points to them for using the Internet meme, “literally shaking”.

Given that we live in a world where the satirical site, Babylon Bee, has found itself being “fact-checked” as a result of dealing with clueless journalists, the following should not have been a surprise, yet it still was:

Wow! Thanks for that “Fact-checkers”. Without you, clueless morons might have thought that was a real accusation. However, they did do one good thing, which was to provide some background to the nonsense of how the traditional “Okay” sign ended up being a White Power symbol.

First, a word of caution about interpreting that gesture as a white power gesture. According to the Anti-Defamation League, in 2017, members of the website 4chan falsely claimed that it represented the letters “WP” for “white power.”

“The hoaxers hoped that the media and liberals would overreact by condemning a common image as white supremacist,” the Anti-Defamation League says in this article explaining the gesture.

Hoped? That’s exactly what the dumbfucks of the US MSM and “liberals” did do – to the utter delight of the 4chan gang, who do such things on a regular basis to demonstrate how screwed up the MSM-Liberal alliance is. Why it’s as if they and the ADL don’t even know they’re being played.

While overwhelmingly people use the gesture to signify assent or approval, “as well as other usages unrelated to white supremacy,” the league says, it has also been used as a sincere expression of white supremacy.

In this case, however, the context makes clear that Biden is using the gesture to illustrate the number zero, as in how many cents he said some corporations pay in taxes.

Oh! So now “context matters.” Fantastic. It just so happens that context suddenly “matters” when a Democrat does it. Context didn’t matter for the last few years when Republican politicians, activists and even ordinary, random dudes on TV flashed it and got attacked, smeared, and in some cases canceled by online outrage mobs.

You only have to imagine the response had Trump done this. The irony is that Biden was quite happy in his early 70’s Senate career to pal around with Democrat Senators who were outright segregationists and White Supremacists.

The random online FaceTwit mobs are bad enough, but once again we see that the MSM “fact checkers” could not be more transparent in their Lefty and partisan bias.

Putting White Supremacy in its place

leave a comment »

A year ago, as the BLM/Antifa riots were sweeping across cities controlled by the Democrat Party, I rolled my eyes at various claims that it was really just a beatup by the Right-Wing.

There were no apparently no organised groups behind all this and the claims of Communism were just another aspect of US history repeating itself – despite the founders of BLM being quite upfront about their Marxist “training”, as Antifa is about Anarchism. Unlike earlier times in America the Far Left is isn’t exactly hiding behind the bushes.

Jerry Nadler

In fact the grotesque creature seen here – senior Democrat, Jerry Nadler – went so far as to say of Antifa violence that:

“It’s a myth being spread in Washington D.C.”.

But that was pretty typical of the Democrats in 2020, who were afraid of being linked to Antifa, even as they could point to the riots and blame Trump – as well as “systemic racism”.

Almost one year on, things have changed, especially in Antifa’s hometown, Portland, Oregon:

“I’ve extended the state of emergency through the weekend. Our job is to unmask them, arrest them, and prosecute them. I want to personally thank neighbors, family, friends and others who have come forward with vital evidence. People know who these criminals are. They know what they’re up to. If you have any information, please contact the police. Acting Chief Davis will provide specifics shortly.

“I also want you to know that these people often arrive at their so-called direct actions, in cars. And they’re all dressed in all black. If you see this, call the police. If you can provide a license plate, if you can do so safely, that information can help later. Together we can make a stand. We’re doing what we can today. I’m also asking for your help to make a stand and take our city back.”

“Let’s make them hurt a little bit,”

That’s the Democrat mayor of Portland who in 2020 refused to condemn or do anything meaningful to stop Antifa even after they forced him to flee his home and sucker-punched him while he ate at a restaurant.

But that was back when OrangeManBad had to be defeated. To be fair to Mayor Wheeler it at least means that he wasn’t just prepared to sacrifice his voters to the Antifa mob but was willing to put his own body on the line to defeat a GOP President.

Now that’s tribal politics.

It’s not exactly tribal but certainly ideological when one of our commentators back then went as far as saying about the US that:

Everyone makes a fuss for a bit, then they go back to white supremacy as normal.

I guess whiter-than-white Mayor Wheeler is an example of this, given that he’s a Democrat, which is supposedly more Right-wing than the National Party. Of course it may be that even Wheeler is rebelling at the basic message being imparted here about White Americans.

The real problem may come when Wheeler discovers just how many of these Antifa goons are White People, and probably White People of means or with connections, or both.

Clara Kraebber, a wealthy 20 year old Rice University student in New York City was one of eight BLM rioters arrested after they were seen running around a tony part of New York smashing windows, to the tune of $100,000 worth of damage.

Her father is a professor with the Columbia University Department of Psychiatry while her Mother owns an architectural firm in Manhattan. They own a $1.8 million apartment in the Upper East Side. They also own a second home in Connecticut.

I know that you’ll be stunned to find out that she made bail and that the prosecutors dropped all the charges.

Thus does White Supremacy roll in America.

I should probably start a betting pool on the group listed below who were arrested in Portland on just one “normal” night last year: how many have served any jail time at all, aside from cooling their heels overnight before they made bail?

They’re also the sort of White People who love doing shit like this – with the approval of their own conscience.

Jeez dude. They did have good reason: they punched you because you’re a Nazi, and the reason that we know you’re a Nazi is that they punched you.

It seems that the Black people of Burn Loot Murder in Portland have also figured this out, hence a recent letter asking the Woke White Folk to stop ruining things:

As an array of Black writers, speakers, artists, activists, teachers, parents and professionals, we already struggle to survive in a state that makes every effort to reshuffle and erase us. We need our allies in this fight to understand and honor this fact. Understand that doing damage to us, our communities, and our resources undoes the work we do.

Black people are not a monolith, and having a complicit Black person in your planning space does not indicate support from the Black community. For decades, efforts towards Black Liberation have suffered at the hands of both well-meaning allies and predatory opportunists, and over the last year we have watched as people have profited from and damaged our movement without our consent or approval.

Predatory opportunists pretty much sums it up, although that’s the Far Left in a nutshell and covers the BLM leaders themselves when it comes to property. Or holidays:

A Los Angeles-based jail reform group led by BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors spent nearly $26,000 for “meetings” at a luxury Malibu beach resort in 2019, according to campaign finance records reviewed by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Now that’s sticking it to The Man. Go Patrisse, you little “trained Marxist” you.

Part of the reason for the Portland BLM letter was that Antifa smashed up The Portland Boys and Girls Club, which largely serves and helps Black and Hispanic children and their families. The Antifa attack was the second time they’d damaged the building and it’s estimated that this damage will cost $20,000.

Or as this Black resident of Portland says, after seeing Antifa smashing up yet another symbol of Capitalism, in this case a Popeye’s Chicken store:

I think that it’s some bullshit. I think that they tearing down our community, and they teaching our kids wrong. Look at these kids. These kids, they grew up in this community. Now, they can’t even go sit down and eat a piece of chicken because they tore up the damn store.”

“I don’t think these are protests“.

She’s right. That is some bullshit.

On the other hand she likely voted for all that enabled it, meaning the Democrat Party, from City to State to Federal level.

A fatal lack of political awareness

with 15 comments

The new blog site from Bassett, Brash and Hide has barely gotten underway when Don Brash reveals the unworldly naivety that destroyed his political career.

In his column, The US is in a dangerous place, Brash, after waxing lyrical about his times in the USA from when he was a young man to when he was working there, ended with a flourish:

What depresses me is not that Trump is an evil bastard but rather that there are still tens of millions of Americans who think that he is God’s gift to creation, and that he is the last bastion against communism. The US is in a very dark place.

As one of our commentators noted after reading this:

I find Brash’s lack of empathy for Trump especially galling.

I had to chuckle about that, given that much the same people who despised and destroyed Brash are among those who hate Trump, and for much the same reasons. Ever the academic, Brash never was much of a politician in making such judgements and as a result will be mystified by Chris Trotter’s latest column, Trump’s Surprisingly Large Army Of New Zealand Supporters, where he speculates on where the dangerous Brash would have taken this country had he won the knife-edge election of 2005:

Brash could very easily have become prime minister. And what a prime minister he would have been! The National leader and his party were committed to returning the Treaty of Waitangi to history’s glass case. The Maori seats were marked down for abolition, and all race-based references were to be expunged from the statute books. In the parlance of present-day “progressives”, Brash’s would have been a “ neo-colonialist”, “white supremacist” government.

Not to put too fine a point upon it, all hell would have broken loose.

It does not require too large a slice of the Devil’s imagination to envisage Brash and his allies being left with little alternative but to mobilise their “silent majority” of supporters against the fury his policies had unleashed in the streets. Protest action that resulted in serious property damage or, even worse, to loss of life, would have left him with even fewer choices. Calling-in the military to support the civil power would likely have become necessary quite quickly – with all-too-predictable results. A snap election, called to provide ex-post-facto validation for the emergency powers taken by the government to quell the unrest (as happened following the 1951 Waterfront Dispute) would, almost certainly, have delivered National a stunning victory. New Zealanders would have struggled to recognise the angry mess their country had become.

Chris’s lurid imagination always flies back to 1951 when talking of NZ, in exactly the same way he can never escape his teenage Boomer joy at Norman Kirk’s election and his horror about Pinochet. And I note that this is his second post in row to bang away about the potential threat of Trumpism in NZ. Ironic given how often Trotter has warned of the dangers of the Left abandoning the traditional working class.

Meantime, poor old Don will eventually read that Trotter piece and be left sputtering at his being compared to “an evil bastard” and classed as the now inevitable “White Supremacist“. But that was always Don’s fate, he never realised it and he apparently still doesn’t. In a world where he claims that you should see past skin colour and not judge people on that basis, Don has not realised that in the Nineteen Eighty Four world of Critical Race Theory such is what is now described as racism.

Could be worse. He could have been compared to You Know Who. Most other Right Wing politicians are sooner or later.

Black and White Views of America

with 3 comments

Two people’s views on what’s happening in America at the moment with all the BLM protests and stuff – which are dying down a bit except in places like Seattle and especially Portland (94% White).

First up is the White view:

I have to admit that between the naked torso, the short hair and his overfed mate beside him in the chair, he sure could be one of those White Supremacist Proud Boy Boogaloo provocatuers I keep being assured are the real problems in Portland, with all their incitement of those “peaceful protestors” (TM). But I don’t see any Hawaiian Shirts or an an umbrella.

Anyhoo, next up is a Black view.

She seems righteously pissed off with juiceb0x4’s question:

And don’t ever ‘black me in America’ again“.

Four years ago I wondered if Trump would go after the Black and Hispanic vote in the USA, and whether he would succeed in beating the efforts of previous GOP contenders like Bush. He certainly has tried, and it may be that he’s succeeding.

All the other kids with the pumped up kicks

leave a comment »

A couple of weeks ago I posted my article on Antifa in the USA, which looked at their ideological and street violence. I focused specifically on them beating up a gay Asian-American journalist, Andy Ngo, who had been reporting on them – and still is – and the refusal of Democrat politicians to condemn or even criticise them.

There were two primary reactions from the Leftists who chose to comment. I must admit that I expected the reaction to be that this was a step too far, that they might say something to the effect of:
Yeah, that’s pretty shit and Antifa need to get a grip on themselves in their endless search for Fascists.

But in fact the first type of reaction, and the one that dominated, was an outright celebration of this incident and the other violence as well, and full-throated support for it. Some examples:

“A single individual laid a single punch on him… “

“Demonising the guys who are actually out there fighting the white supremacists…”

“It is ANTIFA that stands in the way of the return of lynchings to America…”

“ANTIFA are doing something, right here, right now, to prevent the rise of a new Hitler…”

“A punch here, a milkshake there, does not come close to the violence, the depredation, and the horrors committed by those on the Right…”

“I stand with ANTIFA. I stand for a civil society...”

“Today, and every day, is Punch a Fucking NAZI Day.”

“It is a response to regular violence and intimidation from White Supremacist thugs.”

“let the brave and courageous work to defeat the enemy of the people…”

Now some of those came from one individual who is certainly the most unhinged Far-Left stalker that we have here at NoMinister, but there’s no question those same attitudes are found among tens of thousands of US supporters of Antifa.

The second type of reaction was a bit more nuanced, to the effect that Antifa were a pretty “unpleasant” group, but that they hadn’t murdered anyone, unlike Right-Wing extremists. My response was as follows:

“the near misses that have recently occurred with Antifa thugs dying before they could pull off firebombing attacks and school shootings. That sort of “luck” can’t continue for much longer…

And now here we are: Antifa’s first mass murderer:

While the Dayton shooter, didn’t leave behind a manifesto, his extensive social-media footprint provides clues as to what may have inspired him. Federal investigators announced Tuesday that they are looking into his exploration of violent ideologies.

[The shooter] had long expressed support for antifa accounts, causes and individuals.

“Kill every fascist,” the shooter declared in 2018 on twitter, echoing a rallying cry of antifa ideologues. Over the next year, his tweets became increasingly violent. “Nazis deserve death and nothing else,” he tweeted last October. [The shooter] frequently flung the label “Nazi” at those with whom he disagreed online.

By June he tweeted: “I want socialism, and I’ll not wait for the idiots to finally come round understanding.” Last week, he promoted posts that demonized Sens. Ted Cruz and Bill Cassidy’s resolution against antifa extremism.

Well, well, well! Is all that not an echo of the language of some of our Leftist posters here, not to mention those on other blogs and especially on Twitter, Facebook and other Social Media platforms?

He also said the he was going to vote for Elizabeth Warren, which is natural enough given his other beliefs, which closely match the incendiary language of Warren and exciting future leaders of the Democrat Party like Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez when they’ve talked about ICE facilities as “concentration camps”.

Perhaps these Democrat politicians and activists, especially those online, should be more careful with language and rhetoric that creates the atmosphere of fear and hatred in which people like the Dayton shooter marinate?

The Dayton and El Paso shootings occurred within hours of me writing an article here on the vapourous bullshit surrounding mass shootings and White Supremacism. Having learned nothing from that, commentators jumped right in and trumpeted the same old lines as in the past, as did the MSM.

Dayton somewhat got lost in the screamfest. Of course.
===================================

Is my analysis unfair to the Left? Am I drawing conclusions and making accusations about the motives of an insane mass shooter, based upon slim reeds of Leftist political and activist language?

Well that’s what happens when you apply to the Left the same standards that have been set by them in recent years in talking about the Right, starting effectively with this in 2010:

“Rep. Gabrielle Giffords’ blood is on Sarah Palin’s hands after putting cross hair over district.”

That’s a map of House seats held by Democrats in the 2010 mid-term elections and it was set up by Sarah Palin. Such maps have been common down through the years and nobody thought them to be inciting hatred, let alone mass shootings.

Until Democrat Gabby Giffords was badly wounded in a mass shooting that killed six people in 2011, at which stage the Democrats and the MSM (but I repeat myself) jumped in boots-and-all to blame Palin’s map and language for creating – you guessed it – “an atmosphere of hatred and division“, that had triggered the shooter. Giffords seat is one of those “targeted”.

It was bullshit of course, and admitted to be so some time after the fact by the NYT among others. Not by Democrat activists though, for whom it served its purpose of keeping the Republicans in a defensive pose and suppressing her political hopes, which were still feared to be strong at that time as a populist. Given the rise of Trump they’d probably like to have Palin back. And it didn’t help the Democrats regain the House in 2012.

But exactly like Trump’s “good people on both sides” comment, such claims turn into unexamined propaganda myths. Which is why a New York Times writer and moron (!) repeated the same claim in 2017, which has led to a lawsuit against the NYT by Palin. Thanks to the First Amendment it’s much more difficult to win such lawsuits in the US than in Britain, and in order to demonstrate that “malice” was not involved the NYT will have to show that their writer was a fool and ignorant of the recent past. Given that’s almost certainly true I expect the NYT will get away with the old smear.

While Democrats may be upset at being tied to a mass-shooter, for Republicans it’s just more of the same-old, same-old. Bush II was regularly called a racist and Fascist – “Bushitler” was soooo clever – and John McCain and Mitt Romney got much the same treatment, as well as what we see here; claims that their language created the “atmosphere” in which these crimes occurred. When mass shootings by young white men happened during Obama’s presidency it was held to be a result of them driven to rage by having a Black President, egged on by GOP politicians who made jokes about his golfing and Chicago politics. Now it’s held to be because OrangeManBad is President.

It will always be something, and it will never be the real reason for the claims, let alone the reasons for the shootings.

The real reason for the political claims is that the US Left need to win and retain political power and if they can’t use the economy or a war to attack the GOP they’ll find some other stick, whether it’s Russian Collusion or that hardy perennial, “Racism“.

The problem is that the former is very dead and the latter – due to overuse by the Democrats and the MSM (!) – has begun to lose its once magical power to intimidate. It certainly failed to stop Trump and the GOP winning everything in 2016. Then there’s this survey from Rasmussen the other day:

But only 41% of African Americans think Trump is a racist, despite being overwhelmingly Democrat voters and being the primary historic victims of White racism in the USA. Which tells you everything you need to know about White Democrats and their racial politics: cue the White Power of Antifa.

It would also be lot more pertinent to have a discussion about the real reasons for these mass shootings by young, fucked-up White men, which is why I chose this title. But I doubt that will happen any time soon – unless it can be made all about gun control.

With the decline of “racism“, look to hear more about “White Supremacism“, which sounds more sophisticated while actually being just equally crude and moronic abuse that’s as hollow as Joe Biden’s head. And it may backfire anyway, as I pointed out in “Hey, where the white men at?“:

“The white male vote is indispensable, it’s a part of any winning coalition,” said Democratic pollster Ronald Lester, who worked for Hillary Clinton’s campaign in 2016.

Well sure. Calling them “Deplorables” didn’t work out for Hillary but perhaps calling them White Supremacists will turn the trick for the 2020 Democrat candidate for President? And trying to weasel out of that problem by saying that Trump merely “encourages” White Supremacists won’t work either, not with Leftist nuttery like this floating around as training material for teachers in New York:

Either way, what you need to remember is that no matter what they do and what they say, Left-Wing politicians are almost never asked by MSM reporters to issue statements disavowing “links” with Left-Wing killers or thugs, domestic or foreign. They never use language that “echoes” the worst slurs of Leftist activists and fanatics nor “incites” people in “an atmosphere of fear and hatred” and they never stir up “division and hatreds”  or “set people against each other for cynical political gain“.

And they never have blood on their hands.

Ever.

White Supremacy in the USA: myths and facts.

leave a comment »

It’s one of the strange aspects of the human condition that two opposing forces who hate each other can be dependent on agreeing and building upon the same central myth.

For example, in early 2018, when an American high school student with a long history of mental and emotional problems murdered seventeen of his classmates, a “spokesman” for some tiny, unknown White Supremacist (WS) group claimed that the student had been a member of it. The US Left and their MSM-Operatives-With-Bylines went apeshit – for about 24 hours, until the Associated Press coughed up the furball:

A white nationalist appears to have lied to The Associated Press and other news organizations when he claimed that Florida school-shooting suspect Nikolas Cruz was a member of his obscure group

It’s obvious that a tiny and unknown group of Right-Wing racists would like people to think that they’re growing in popularity.

But the US Left-Wing also desperately need this to be true. This is the enemy they so badly want and need, hence this particular 24 hour screamfest. And it’s obvious that this continues, with the following comment made here last week, even with the knowledge about Cruz having been public for two years:

Roj Blake said..,
Nikolas Cruz, a white supremacist, murders 17 at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School.

On similar lines, at the end of 2017 a report was published by the Anti-Defamation League, that looked at murders in the USA resulting from religious and ideological extremism, from which the same commentator summarised the following list:

Ten Deadliest Acts of Violence by U.S. Domestic Extremists (1966-2018)
Lefties – 17 dead
Islamists – 84 dead
Right-Wing Extremism – 205

Anybody familiar with a history of extremist murders in the USA will immediately recognise some of the deceptions involved here – starting with the word “Domestic“, which neatly avoids counting the 3000 American dead from the Islamist Extremism of the 9/11 attacks.

Next up is the obvious fact that the last figure includes the 168 murdered in the Oklahoma Bombing in 1995, for which the motivation was to attack the US government, following incidents involving the FBI and ATF at Ruby Ridge (1992) and the Waco Siege (1993). It had nothing to do with White Supremacy and it should be noted that the motivations were perfectly in line with a century of Anarchist thought, which even the ADL lists as Left-Wing Extremism. Thus does The Narrative roll, which was very useful to Bill Clinton in the 1996 election.

So how much can White Supremacism be applied to the remaining 37 murders by Right-Wing Extremists, especially the crucial “20 of the 34 in 2017“? This is where the weasel-term, “Extremist related” comes into play.  To be fair to the ADL they actually do include details of each of those murders (page 14-15) so a reader can check for themselves, but it quickly becomes apparent that most of these murders were within the WS groups themselves and were not motivated by WS beliefs. Some examples:

  • White supremacist Devon Arthurs shot to death two of his Neo-Nazi roommates for making fun of his recent conversion to Islam. (Shouldn’t that count as an Islamic Extremist murder?)
  • Aryan Circle member Edward Blackburn allegedly shot and killed another man who was reportedly dating his ex-girlfriend. (Maybe the other guy wasn’t WS enough?)
  • Wesley Andrew Hampton, a self-declared white supremacist, and another defendant allegedly robbed and murdered a man in a home invasion. (Some WS he was: his partner was Black)
  • Ricky Dubose, a member of the Ghostface Gangsters white supremacist prison gang, and another inmate, Donnie Russell Rowe, reportedly killed two corrections officers while trying to escape from a prison bus. (This has been known to happen during prison breaks)
  • Frank Ancona, head of the Traditionalist American Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, was shot to death; his wife and fellow Klan member, Malissa Ancona, and her son have been charged for the murder. (Perhaps Frank was also not WS enough).

And so on. Even one of the “Right Wing Extremist” mass murders they list, dating all the way back to 1977, involved a “self-styled Nazi” murdering five people and then committing suicide – over a work dispute, which he made clear at the start of his rampage. His hatred of Blacks and Jews had nothing to do with it! It’s also an event so meaninglessly obscure that it does not rate a Wikipedia entry. But the ADL are on to it!

Again, to be fair, they also list a couple of Black Nationalist murders that have the same definitional problem, in that they’re murders of associates or relatives that seem to have had nothing to do with the motivations of their ideology. It’s not like they went out to deliberately kill Whites. It’s akin to saying the IRA were religious terrorists fighting for the Papacy – which I have seen asserted!

What this leaves us with are twenty one murders that can definitely be ascribed to White Supremacism. In a fifty year period! In a nation of 200 million people in 1966 to 350 million people today! Out of a total of some one million murders in the same period.

Actually this should not be a surprise. Since the Civil Rights era of the mid-60’s people growing up in the USA have been saturated in a world of TV shows, movies, books, magazine and newspaper articles as well as teaching at all levels of education about how awful racism is and why it needs to be avoided – with a very special focus on White Racism. Given this overwhelming cultural effort it would be astounding if it had failed so badly.

And a recent research study indicates that it has not failed. Published on the SSRN (Social Science Research Network), The Rise of Trump, the Fall of Prejudice?, had this to say on the matter using their own survey data from 2008 to 2018:

We find that via most measures, white Americans’ expressed anti-Black and anti-Hispanic prejudice declined after the 2016 campaign and election, and we can rule out even small increases in the expression of prejudice. These results suggest the limits of racially charged rhetoric’s capacity to heighten prejudice among white Americans overall.

Doing the work so that you don’t have to, I downloaded the damned paper and had a read. Suffice to say that the authors do not like Trump and so naturally they ascribe this decline as a reaction to his “racist rhetoric“:

“the public responds thermostatically by shifting away from the positions advanced by those in power.”

Ah huh. I’ve long felt that the word “Scientist” should be removed from the title of such people (and the field), since being a scientist would involve postulating at least one other similar factor – which is that people are responding to Leftists “in power” in US education (especially universities), in the MSM, in Congress, and in State governments like Illinois, California and New York, who have been screaming “RACISM” at Whites constantly for years now, and with increasing volume and hysteria since the rise to power of OrangeMan Bad. Perhaps people are “thermostatically” moving away from such Left-Wing nutters?

Clearly the demand for White Supremacists vastly exceeds the supply, and economics tells us that when that happens the cost rises and the supply increases. One way of increasing the supply is to redefine what racism means, which leads us to the whole Post-Modern concept of power+”X bigotry” = “X ism”, and also why the Obama Administration was so hot for the idea of Disparate Impact being applied to housing and education.

But this has meant that the supply has started to come from the ranks of the US Left itself, which is why Democrat House Leader Nancy Pelosi was recently accused of racism by Social Media star and blithering idiot Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and why Kamala Harris went after Joe Biden about his opposition to desegregation-by-busing fifty years ago and his tough-on-crime support for mid-90’s laws that saw the Black prison population soar.

Even funnier things emerged when Trump attacked Democrat Congressman, Elijah Cummings, about the shite condition of his Baltimore electorate, which is in worse shape now than when he first became its Member of Congress in 1996.

Vote for me if you want to live!

As you can see he’s African-American so naturally the air was rent with the usual screams of “racism” – except that it turned out that in the recent past Bernie Sanders, the Washington Post, Barack Obama and other Progressive worthies had made almost identical criticisms of the place, using the same language.

But those were not racist attacks because Reasons and Shut Up.

Every day now brings something new along these lines. The most recent being the DCCC (Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee) conducting a Monday Night Massacre; a mass firing of senior staff, all of them White, expressly in response to criticism that the staff was not “diverse” enough. This despite 13 of the 27 staff being nonwhite. The chairwoman of the DCCC, poor old Cheri Bustos from Ye Olde Home State of Illinois, burst into tears:

“Bustos responded to the complaints by emphasizing her marriage to a Mexican man and her son’s engagement to an African-American woman during the Saturday call. She also agreed to hold mandatory diversity training for Committee staff”.

Ok – I admit I had a deep and satisfying laugh upon reading that.

Don’t tell me! She has friends who are Black African-American? Hispanic?. LGBT+? Sorry sweetie, but that won’t save you. In fact it’s putting blood in the water. Now since the modern Leftist definition of racism holds power as a key factor, you can’t dismiss the possibility that this is simply the usual internal political knife fight where “diversity” is just code for “I want control”. The Montagnards are striking against the Girondins.

With Progressives and power, it’s always difficult to see where the insincerity ends and the fanaticism begins, but let’s be explicit: these people were fired because they have White skin, and this racism is not just acceptable but laudable in the modern Democrat Party. It certainly sends a message, especially to young people wanting to get involved in politics: if the Democrats are actually willing to fire you from your job just because you’re white, do you really want to be involved with them? Can you have a future with them? More to the point, would you want to vote for them?

And that’s just inside the game. If Democrats want to run in the 2020 US election on a platform of Intersectional Identity-Politics, whose explicit premise is that America is a horrific, seething mass of nativist racism and other bigotries, do they really think swing voters will go for that? Hillary only described the “Deplorables” once: her successors are saying it almost every day.

At least one Democrat member of Congress understood the practical implications of all this, though he had nothing to say, even off the record, about the Orwellian insanity of the racism on display:

“The idea of all DCCC staff sitting around for hours on Friday and again today to talk about this internal shit enrages me. Shut the fuck up about your feelings and just focus on winning.

You know how NRCC [National Republican Congressional Committee] spent their day Friday and today? Not sitting around talking about diversity and their feelings,”.

Well of course not. The Democrats have already done much of the work for the Stupid Party, moving the White vote from just four points more Republican than the median voter in the 1982 midterm election, to 18 points more Republican in 2018. Which is why Trump has been freed up to appeal to Blacks about their employment, general urban conditions and imprisonment, demanding and signing law changes to reduce the number of Black men in jail.

It’s also why he got to stuck into Cummings: getting around the MSM’s Democrat defences and pointing out to Blacks that if they continue to vote tribal-Democrat they’ll continue to live in conditions of poverty and crime. Not like slaves on the 21st century Silicon Valley plantations of Nancy Pelosi and other multi-millionaires, more like the Jews of the Pale of Settlement and other European ghettos; kept out of sight and out of mind of Nancy’s upmarket White Liberals and guarded by the likes of Cummings, who aspires to the wealth and status of Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan and other race-baiting grifters.

Trump knows that unless the Democrats can hold more than 90% of the Black vote, they’re toast. The Democrats know it too. Hence the screams of “Racism” – and “White Supremacy“.
