Thomas Mead who tried to stitch Rob Penney up after the Brumbies won with a penalty try over the hapless Crusaders was correctly referred to as a Cnut after an interview by Mead referring back to a screen shot of a somewhat down Crusaders Coach in the coaches chair at games end following a long awaited defeat by the Highlanders a week earlier.
Has Mead who possibly played soccer as a primary school child, gone after Vern Cotter whose Blues could not defeat the Crusaders tossing the top qualifier back into a lottery for home final.

Penny who has taken on the seven on the trot Super Rugby champions moulding a team bereft of a large list of defections and a challenging injury struck player register got his youth laden team up last night to beat this years top team, keeping a slim chance of a playoff alive, might have enjoyed seeing Cotter given an equally inept interview concentrating on the Blues failing to put the season strugglers away.

Far from easy beats the Crusaders have had a far less than successful season this year with the great coach Razor Robertson being elevated to All Black coach, and an army of anti Crusaders fans across the Nation who will not be all disappointed should Razor stumble.
Yes Rob Penney did let Mead needle him and that has been noted but the carping for a coach’s head is inane and childish.

Stick to it Rob, they have failed miserably in allowing a largely free pass to the Laidlaw and Ardie, McMillan and Retallick, Cotter and Beauden Barrett, the envy loomed large for Mead, the Crusaders have done well in the face of adversity, pity Mansbridge was less than supportive as I and many true fans were in agreement with Robs retort never meant for publication as a description of the rude and illinformed effort by the mummy’s boy Mead who likely has minimal understanding of rugby, particularly at the highest levels as demonstrated in that interview.
