BLACK LIVES MATTER?

with 29 comments

Errrrrrrrrrrrr … so do brown lives, white lives, yellow lives, old lives, young lives and all in between (including the lives of the unborn although I appreciate some might have difficulty with this one).    But you can’t be selective if you’re be to be honest with yourself.

All lives matter … fixed it.

  2. Hate to tell you this Vet but …Every Time You Say “All Lives Matter” You Are Being an Accidental RacistHere’s the awesome thing. You can totally stop being an ignorant racist right now. This instant. You don’t even have to lift a finger. All you have to do is learn. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: it is never a bad thing to learn. I love looking back at all the ways I’ve learned and grown into a better person. It takes courage and humility to acknowledge the ways we’ve been wrong or incorrect, but that’s nothing compared to the feeling of personal growth and betterment you have on the other side.Naturally all the people who believe this want to defeat Trump and institute all the things that go with Black Lives Matter – cancel culture and the rest of the Orwellian nightmare that's even begun to perturb the likes of Sullivan and Tabbi.

  4. Veteran,I am rather surprised that you miss the point of the \”Black Lives Matter\” slogan. As I am sure you must know, it is based on the fact that way too many unarmed black people in the US have been killed by the police. We have seen all too many videos that testify to that.Based on your previous comments, I thought you got that.Obviously for some the whole thing has moved into the broader space of anti-colonistaion, etc, which is the thing that is getting most traction here. And in the US at least in some places has moved into an anticapitalist space, though that actually has a rather narrow appeal, in the same way the Occupy movement did not have broad appeal. I think the US is going to go into another round of slavery deconstruction. Monuments and names that were deemed acceptable, or even desirable as a reconciliation gesture 100 years ago, no longer have that resonance. So I imagine all the Confederate named Army bases will get new names.

  5. I’ll accept at face value that “the Veteran” and Astro are just ignorant, but Tommy knows exactly where that came from and fully approved. He’s fighting a culture war, and if that means siding with a bunch of racists, so be it.

  6. You should all take note folks, that in the Stalinist, Nineteen Eighty Four world of Snowflake and his fundamentally evil friends, even saying something like \”I will not judge a person by the colour of their skin but by the content of their character.\” is now judged to be racist.

  8. Snowie, Tomas isn't \”siding with a bunch of racists\”, Tomas IS a racist. And proud of it.Apparently, when he lived in Chicago some character in a fur coat, gold chains, and a leopard skin pillbox hat called out \”Yo, Honkie\” and Tomas has been terrified of PoC ever since.

  9. Here's how it works for the new neo-Nazi's, Antifa:\”The fight against fascism is only won when the capitalist system has been shattered and a classless society has been achieved,\”- Antifaschistischer Aufbau München.\”The basic philosophy of Antifa focuses on the battle between three basic forces: fascism, racism and capitalism, all three of which are interrelated according to Antifa… with fascism being considered the final expression or end stage of capitalism, capitalism being a means to oppress, and racism being an oppressive mechanism related to fascism.\”You see if you support our current system of capitalism you are automatically a fascist and a racist. Easy peasy for the braindead Antifa movement.

  10. Tomas quotes racist Reich Wing web sites. Film at 11.Who would ever have thought Tomas would rely on racist Reich Wing sources?I can guarantee that Tomas' \”quote\” from Antifaschistischer Aufbau München has not come from anything of theirs that Tomas has read, rather he is just repeating the ignorance of floppingaces, patriotnews, abovetopsecret, and lunaticoutpost. There is no single, unified ANTIFA with membership list, meetings, rules, etc. It is a catch all phrase for a variety of anti-fascit groups. Some are communist, some socialist, some anarchist, some feminist, some a combination. Their only unifying ideal is to prevent the rise of another fascist state. Here's one Tomas must have missed. Antifa is not only officially tolerated, but is being paid by the German government to fight the far right. — Bettina Röhl, German journalist, Neue Zürcher Zeitung, June 2, 2020.Well, makes a change from George Soros funding everything, doesn't it? Of course, as they say on WILTY, \”It's a LIE\”.One can never truly know the motivations of another, but I would be curious to know why Tomas is so supportive of the rise of the New Reich and The Facisti.

  11. Meanwhile, as Tomas scours the Dork Web for more lies, genuine fascists are rioting in London.Police were attacked by demonstrators, some of whom were far-right activists, after thousands gathered claiming they were protecting statues.PM Boris Johnson said: \”Racist thuggery has no place on our streets.\”An investigation is also under way after a man was seen urinating next to a memorial of PC Keith Palmer, who was killed in the 2017 Westminster attack.Separately on Saturday, a number of peaceful anti-racism protests were held in London and around the country. And in Atlanta, ANOTHER black man is murdered by police. At least in the case, the police chiefs acted swiftly, not allowing it to fester, but the fact remains a man is dead for the \”crime\” of running from the police.

  12. Their only unifying ideal is to prevent the rise of another fascist state. But you've told us that we already have Fascist states in the form of the USA, brazil and other hobgoblins who disagree with the neo-Nazi's of Antifa. You didn't prevent their rise at all according to your own words. So that's another Antifa fail. How's the Fascist state of CHAZistan going? Gardens growing? Portaloos not overflowing? Has \”Raz\” been disarmed?

  13. And speaking of German support for Antifa, courtesy of his quote above from (cough) a \”journalist\”, here's what Germany's BfV domestic intelligence agency wrote about them:\”Antifa's fight against right-wing extremists is a smokescreen. The real goal remains the 'bourgeois-democratic state,' which, in the reading of left-wing extremists, accepts and promotes 'fascism' as a possible form of rule and therefore does not fight it sufficiently. Ultimately, it is argued, 'fascism' is rooted in the social and political structures of 'capitalism.' Accordingly, left-wing extremists, in their 'antifascist' activities, focus above all on the elimination of the 'capitalist system.'\”A smokescreen. Yep. That's Antifa all right. But hey, the BfV are probably just another Fascist outcropping of the State, ammirite?

  14. Learn some basic reading comprehension, Tomas. My words were \”unifying ideal\”, and like all ideals, we sometimes fall short. A bit like the Americans in bringing democracy to Iraq. USA and Brazil are not yet fully fledged fascist states, but are rapidly heading in that direction. But I am sure you'll be OK with that, after all, it will never affect you and your cows. After all, who are you to be concerned about freedom on the other side of the world. That's a job your Daddy accomplished, nothing for you to do.

  20. Wayne M … of course I knew that but the demonstrations outside of the US are woke selective and herd blind. What's more the process has been highjacked by those with other agenda witness the call by some in NZL to remove all colonial era statues. Just don't get me started of the decision by the Hamilton CC to remove the statue of the person the city was named after … airbrushing history. No, all lives matter and if you choose to be selective in your morality then that's your problem not mine.

  21. Just don't get me started of the decision by the Hamilton CC to remove the statue of the person the city was named after … airbrushing history.Captain Hamilton was a career mercenary.Captain Hamilton never set foot on any of Hamilton's soil. The statue was donated by a business to celebrate its 75th anniversary. The business had no connection to Captain Hamilton, other than originating in the city that bears his name. The decision to erect the statue was made behind closed doors, and no minutes of the meeting have been released to the public. The statue was erected in 2013.Is that really history worth dying for?

  22. I thought, Rex Mundi, that he was an RN officer on duty. If he was indeed a mercenary then that raises other issues. My understanding is that Hamilton was named to honor the Captain, killed at Gate Pa. While the Maori concerned were Kingites they were local, not Waikato. You could argue that neither side is correct ie Captain Hamilton and the Maori protesters don’t really have a connection, except that the city is named after him and the protesters live there. Any of this worth a second round of deaths? Of course not but then I don’t think anyone is suggesting that the police are about to shoot protesters here.

  23. ATCCTV shows the fellow in Atlanta grabbed an officer's stun gun and ran off. The officer gave chase and when the fellow turned and aimed the stun gun at him, he drew his weapon and fired. Some media have it the fellow was shot in the back.

  24. It’s fella, not fellow. At least get your derogatory terms correct, Adolt. What you are saying is that the Police officer applied lethal force when confronted by non-lethal force? That’s OK in your book is it? I guess it must be in this case, as it was only a black fella. Plus you’re almost certainly talking shit. Gotta link?

  25. Adolf approves of this message. Before long, three more cops — William Staubs, Eric Neely, and Erik Herb — would arrive. Jones was struck in the neck, kicked, and put into a chokehold — the 4th Circuit opinion notes that “choking and gurgling sounds” can be heard in dashcam video recordings of the incident — before one of the officers realized that Jones had the small knife. The cops pulled away, forming a semicircle around him with their weapons drawn. Jones was limp and lying on his right side. Even though he was not moving, the cops demanded that Jones drop his knife. When he didn’t respond, all five fired their guns — a total of 22 rounds in two seconds. A majority of the shots hit Jones in the back and buttocks. He died at the scene. That was back in 2013. How little things have changed. The cops escaped homicide charges due to \”qualified immunity\”.Fortunately, this week The 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals revived a federal civil rights lawsuit this week against police in Martinsburg, West Virginia, vacating a lower court ruling that had granted five officers qualified immunity in connection with the murder of Wayne Jones. “This has to stop,” Judge Henry F. Floyd wrote.https://theintercept.com/2020/06/12/qualified-immunity-police-wayne-jones/

  26. Yes, Adolf. Rayshard Brooks took a Taser from a cop during a struggle. He ran, he half turned, while still running, to point, note point, not fire, the Taser at a pursuing cop. He was then shot. In the back. While fleeing. When he was posing no threat to the police or public. Murdered, in other words.
