However to cast Ms Giorgia Meloni, is nothing anywhere near to be a 2022 il Duce.
That is monstrous garbage even if she gets trains to run on time
.
No “Black Shirts”, no violence, just ordinary Italians voting to reject the more destructive EU supported policies from unelected Crats in Brussels in search of WEF, NWO, borderless Europe, recently rejected by Poland and more substantially Hungary now being threatened with defunding by churlish cretins never answerable to anyone who see their power base being eroded by waves of illegal immigration and failing political leanings that have become additional to what began life as “Common Market”. over half a century ago and are daily not just ignored while becoming of greater concern to plebeians and peasants struggling to just get by across Europe now facing an energy crisis far greater than any Climate Catastrophe.
EU power broker Ursula Von der Leyen (how Prussian aye), voiced outright threats if Italy should elect Ms Meloni, on election eve with “We have the tools” if troubles arise from the election, They must be alarmed their little bureaucratic empire is under threat?
On the world front, a titanic battle for control is going on, while we sit on the sidelines, pointlessly cheering or not cheering, as if it will make any difference.
Well they have control here so our destiny will play out in in 13 odd months.
There wont be a titanic struggle in New Zealand. As a nation we are now entrenched in mediocrity, and the opposition offers no other recipe than a very slightly better managed process of decline.
Perhaps the potholes will be filled but the underlying things like education wont.
As a nation we get our fulfilment through sports teams, in particular a very minor sport called Rugby, which swells us with pride little knowing the rest of the world couldn’t care a flying fuck.
Wearing a blazer with Rangiora Bowling club overseas, or a balck shirt with All Blacks emblazoned on it is as good as it gets for most Kiwis.
I cannot agree with the last para/sentence Rossco.
I have been playing competitive lawn bowls since 1976 and have never, ever owned a blazer for any of the five clubs I have been a member of. What is more I have been overseas several times since then and was actually living in Suva when I started bowls.
pdm, I had to borrow a blazer every time I travelled for rep games. Strangely I was never even offered a blazer to buy at any of the clubs I polluted during my time playing bowls.
rossco, I fear you are correct but hope you are wrong.
Ohh apologies PDM and MT, it was a throw back comment to my youth spent at LAX seeing the DC-8 arrive from New Zild with these guys wearing their reefer jackets with President of Nightcaps Bowling Club embroided on the front jacket pocket.
Like it was the most important thing in the world. Bowls, like rugby, was an unknown to the good people of Los Angeles, and the rest of the world.
Cultural cringe
Remember Von Der Leydon is a Prussian Aristocrat and was formerly Germany’s Minister of Defence – and a right cock up of it we now see.
I still have my heavy woolen All Black scarf from a 2007 trip to Europe where we watched the Blacks thrash Italy in Marseille. These winter nights I wear it to choir practice, just to watch the Pommy members pucker up.
